“We used Cypress Hardwood Flooring in March 2015 for the removal of old engineered wood flooring and installation of new engineered hardwood flooring. We are very pleased with our new wood floors, and with the Cypress Hardwood team, who were good to deal with through the entire process. Their quote, done in January 2015, was exact for the actual cost for the new flooring supply and installation. The actual costs for removal of the existing wood flooring in the kitchen/family room, which had been glued to concrete sub-floor, and for the leveling of the living/dining room sub-floor, were right in the middle of the estimated costs for those two items. We booked the installation two months in advance; the Cypress installers began one day early and finished one day early, exactly on schedule for our project which included other sub-trades. The removal of the existing glued down engineered flooring in the kitchen/family room was a prime concern as we did not want any damage to the furniture kicks of the kitchen cabinets and the fireplace surround. The Cypress installers were able to remove the existing flooring without any damage to the cabinet work. We are extremely pleased with this result. The Cypress installers grouted the cracks in the living/dining concrete sub-floor prior to the application of the leveling compound, which ensured no leakage into the ceiling below. Cypress supplied and installed 5 inch wide red oak “Chariot” stained, wire brushed finish, engineered flooring manufactured by Vintage Prefinished Hardwood Flooring. The fit around the furniture kicks of the kitchen cabinets and family room fireplace are seamless. The transition detail to the existing tile flooring was done in an elegant manner. In summary, the installation is absolutely perfect.”
