With it being a Victorian terrace it already had beautiful original features in there but was looking very tired and lifeless. She made me realise I didn’t need a huge amount to completely transform the space into the cosy room I longed for. I knew I wanted to go for dark walls but had no idea how to then furnish and accessorise. Clare did a full room design, helped and advised me with all of that and WOW the result is amazing, I absolutely love it. It’s made such a difference to my home. So much so I decided to invite Clare back to advise me on my bedroom. I had already painted the walls and bought a rug but needed help with styling. Clare sent me a shopping list of furniture and accessories to help. Again, she completely transformed the feel of the room, bringing it all together. “Hannah and Matthew were very professional, they listened to what we were looking for and the colours that we wanted to incorporate into our room. After a colour consultation in our home, where we looked at complementary colours to tie in with the fabric we had chosen for our blinds, cushions and lampshades, Hannah suggested wall colours that were restful and in keeping for a bedroom, whilst working with the south facing aspect. The blinds, cushions and lampshades were all hand made to order with a very surprisingly quick turn around and are of extremely high quality. “Sometimes you just don't know where to start, you know you want to change things up but just never get the time or in my case was seriously lacking some inspiration. Luckily for me the answer to my prayers came in the form of a brilliant business called Making Spaces. I contacted Karen, a lady who wastes no time. A 30 minute chat resulted in a Pinterest board the next day and tester colours on my walls. I didn't have to do a thing. I handed over a set of house keys as my confidence and trust in this lady was well rooted. Before I knew it the walls were painted, rug was being delivered, old furniture was sold on my behalf and new furniture sourced. Curtain poles were hung, artwork was frames and displayed beautifully. I now have a living room that makes me feel cosy and content to spend time in. It's a wonderful, beautiful space that is more me than I could ever have created on my own. This company is completely on the ball. You'd be doing yourself a disservice not to use them.”
