What is great about Elly is that she comes to your house so you can discuss options about the best way forwards. She listens to what you want and then suggests possible solutions, with some suggested fabrics. Really pleased with the job Elly and her fitter did for a tricky living room bay window pole and curtain. We'd looked at numerous solutions for curtains for literally years and never quite found the right one. We found Elly on our local forum with loads of positive comments and decided to get in touch, and from there we decided to go ahead. The pole she found works really well in a very difficult area with very wide window boxing, and to add to the complexity, the material we liked was being discontinued meaning Elly had to work with slightly less material than ideal. Even still, the results were excellent. The final curve ball was the pandemic, which meant we all had uncertainty of supply and in our case, a need to shield. Elly was super patient and understanding until we were ready when shielding lifted and even then, she ensured the fitting took place with face masks, gloves, hand sanitiser and social distancing aplenty. I can't recommend Elly enough. Thank you!

Elly Allen made some beautiful bespoke curtains and blinds for me for my hallway stairs and landing. Her professional service, eye for detail and interior design advice was excellent. She listened to exactly what my vision was, helped me source the most beautiful fabrics and made my design for a pelmet for the blinds come to life. She attended every single meeting personally, did all of the measuring herself and oversaw the installation and hanging. Elly did a fabulous job of making curtains and blinds. She offered advice on material choices, was flexible around visits to measure and was very accommodating when we had to delay curtain install (several times!) due to building works over running. Elly made us two sets of Roman blinds, two curtains for doorways and fitted a roller blind. They all look fantastic and are just what we wanted. Elly provided a great service from start to finish. At the initial stage she talked through what would be suitable for each room, and gave us a steer on fabrics. The installation was done to a very high standard and with no mess. Elly did a fabulous job making 5 roman blinds and a pair of curtains for our London flat. She followed instructions brilliantly, came up with suggestions and sourced and fitted a lovely pole as well as making and hanging the blinds and curtains. The quality of the workmanship was first class and I have very high expectations having used only one exceptional curtain maker over the last 10 years in Yorkshire, so finding and trusting someone in London was a huge issue for me! Elly kept in contact with me, sent me photos when they had been fitted, which I was absolutely delighted with, but then on arrival to see them the next day I was even more delighted. I can’t recommend Elly enough and will certainly be using her again when funds allow for the next project - full length curtains for a large bay window.

Elly has done an amazing job making beautiful made to measure curtains for us in three rooms with huge windows. She has lots of good ideas, is prompt, helpful and friendly and the finished results have exceeded expectations. She works with a great guy who does the measuring up and also comes to hang the curtains and make sure everything fits perfectly. After she did such a wonderful job on the curtains, we also asked Elly to work with her upholsterer and furniture restorer and we now have a transformed sofa and some chairs that I bought on a whim on eBay have been stripped down with new webbing and cushions made. She also sorted out my grandmother's rocking chair, which had been languishing in a very damp seaside home for 50 years, found someone who dealt with woodworm in antique furniture and then had bespoke cushions made. Great service, high standards and attention to detail. Also a very lovely lady! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.

Elly accepted the challenge (!) of making us three different sets of window dressings for upstairs rooms in our mid-century townhouse last year, and we couldn't be happier with the results. We were using an original vintage 1960's heavy silk and linen mix fabric that we had sourced ourselves, and Elly did an absolutely magnificent job of delivering two sets of curtains - one full length, one to just below the sill - and a pair of blinds that show off the fabric to its very best and work wonderfully well in the overall scheme of the house. Advice given was always thoughtful and practical, and everything (including new rails) was fitted and dressed promptly as arranged and with great care and attention. Elly's fitter Steve is also fantastic, and very professional. Looking forward to future projects for the living room and dining area this year, as it's just such a pleasure to work with her!

We commissioned Elly to create a 3.5m wide floor-to-ceiling curtain for a new bedroom window. The colour, drape and smooth running are all superb. The installation was also on time and problem free. Highly recommended.

Elly worked with us to dress windows in our kitchen, living room, master and children’s bedrooms. We are delighted with the results. Elly did a fantastic job from start to finish.
