“We hired Saltsman Brenzel to build a new house on the site of a demolished house. We had completed 2 construction projects in the past, with different companies, and our experience with SB was superior in every way. The design of the house is sensitive to the neighborhood and the site, while incorporating our requests. The design/build aspect was seamless, from permitting all the way through to finish work. The budget was kept track of with regular meetings & weekly spread sheets. I would highly recommend SB for a productive, low-stress, and enjoyable construction experience.”

“I'm happy to give Scott Curtice my strongest positive recommendation. Our project went quite smoothly, staying on schedule thanks to the fact that my office is in the house and Scott's commitment to providing a foreman. This enabled us to make decisions quickly and address problems promptly. Scott and his crew showed a lot of creativity in meeting our requirement to stay in the house during the renovation, to the extent of setting up a temporary kitchen and shower in the basement. In the end, we only had to be out of the house for about a week. He was also very good about coordinating with our architect and the cabinetmaker that we selected ourselves. Having heard a few horror stories of renovation cost overruns, I think we also did well in this respect. Our final figure was about 10% more than the initial estimate due to the kind of unforeseen issues that can be expected on any such project, along with a few changes that we ordered. The level of detail Scott provides in his constantly updated spreadsheet also helped us to make some decisions that reduced our cost.”

“We had a great experience with Rebel Builders. The enthusiasm and cheerfulness of Diana Pauro, owner and lead architect was infectious. Diana grasped our need for a cozy, warm and updated master bathroom, closet and master bedroom, quickly and well. She and her team managed our project with skill, politeness, and consideration. They were available to answer questions when we had them; were sensitive to our needs (we were living in the house at the time) and had strong time-management skills. I particularly liked that Diana paid attention to hiring contractors with a similar philosophy of strong customer services to her. I would thoroughly recommend Rebel Builders if you need ideas for a project and full project management through completion. Indeed, we recommended Rebel Builders to friends who are rennovating an entire house with them.”

“Jim Buhrer of Refined Renovations offers incredible vision, efficient execution, and an exquisite design sense and attention to detail that is truly beyond compare. After listening to us talk about the many possibilities for our addition, Jim provided us focus and a fabulous concept for our new master bedroom suite. He collaborated with us and an architect to ensure a solid plan, and in a few short months, Jim and his team built the addition over our garage that blends as if it has always been a part of the house. While the entire Refined Renovations team was professional and efficient, it was Jim’s creativity and wonderful design sense that enabled us to realize our dream of a casually sophisticated sanctuary that is simply elegant.”

“We cannot imagine that any group could have done better in renovating our 1862-built home than Gary Streck CRM, Inc. They oversaw a top-to-bottom refitting of a home that was poorly lit, had knob-and-tube wiring, lacked central air conditioning, and had the original Victorian woodwork (which while beautiful showed the ravages of time). They had access to skilled artisans who brought care and imagination to the thousands of puzzles posed by making a house modern but preserving period detail. Bathrooms were remodeled, a state-of-the-art home theater was created, and a whole floor was reconstructed. Gary Streck CRM kept them on the job, on deadline, and within budget. Always professional and always setting the highest standards for any of the jobs performed. Thanks to them, we know that we live in an historic home but remain warm in the winter, cool in the summer, and well lit. The "Old World" level of craftmanship is evident in every room. It was quite an accomplishment for Gary Streck CRM and worthy of the Golden Prism Award for Best Historic Renovation in 2013.”

“Darryl and the team at Copia were just incredible to work with. The quality and personal touches on every finish throughout the property showed he treated this project as though he was building his own home. Having Copia design, develop and ultimately sell our home to us meant we had someone who we trusted and could give us genuine feedback on all our questions. We bought our property 18 months ago and still keep in touch with Darryl and the team. They are always able to answer any questions or help us with anything needed. We also used Copia for some recent additions to our home to keep with the same design and quality. I couldn't recommend Copia highly enough to anyone looking for a high-end quality home and first class people to work with.”
