James and his team, who were recommended to us, recently fitted our new kitchen, including flooring. They were professional and provided a high standard of workmanship. They were reliable, clean and completed the job on time. We are delighted with the end result and would happily recommend Defined Builds.

I would highly recommend Defined Builds and have passed on details to a number of people already. The work done was excellent and the team were great; friendly and reliable. I was living in the house during the build and they made sure that they left it in a good state and secure. The team built a ground floor extension for me that involved complex’s ground works. They did the build, decorating, flooring and kitchen. They’ve also since been back to re-render the outside of the house and I’ve asked them to also do the bathroom next year. A great company!

First class work, attention to detail, reliable, trustworthy, professional and hardworking. These are all qualities that describe the work of James and his team. We are delighted with our “new home”. As a couple with no prior experience of commissioning and working through a building project James’s approach was invaluable, reassuring and instilled confidence. James and his team completed a complete refurbishment of our home whilst we remained in occupation. Work included a new kitchen/ diner, downstairs wc, new bathroom and shower area, hallway and stairs, patio, landscaping work and a garden room. Nothing was too much trouble in terms of meeting our requirements. We would not hesitate to strongly recommend James and Defined Builds based upon our experience and our completed project.

James and his team were a pleasure to work with – they are professional and bring solutions to the project not problems, the quality of the work is excellent. I would highly recommend and would use James again for any future projects.

James is easy to get on with and his team are equally engaging. ( and characters in there own right). Only niggle would be the VAT. I am sure it's the same with all trades but getting a quote and then finding out VAT is on top gets irritating. But please note the five stars. As he will point out, he is not the cheapest but he is not the most expensive. Quality is high and I expect his business to flourish.

Defined Builds completed a single story rear extension to create an open plan kitchen diner as well as creating a patio and other small internal porch alterations. I can’t recommend James and Defined Builds highly enough. James and his entire team were a pleasure to work with. I would advise getting James involved as early as possible in your project, he has a wealth of knowledge and contacts to make sure everything is covered and reviewed properly before ground is broken. Through the job James and his team were always tidy and considerate, providing updates throughout and open to discussing the details. Attention to detail was superb and and it shows in the finished project. They were always open to hearing my design ideas and honest on what would and would not work but always putting the customer first. James, his team and contacts created a superb overall finish and come highly recommend.

I would highly recommend James and his team. They listen to all our requests and gave lots of advice regarding what was possible.All the work completed to a high standard. The team were all very respectful, worked hard and left the house tidy after their work every day.

We contacted James to design and build our loft conversion. He appealed to us as he is local and a smaller company and when we met he assured us he would be on site and running the job rather than subbing it out like other bigger firms do. I was initially quite nervous about starting such a big project but James put my mind at rest with his extensive knowledge of the process and wealth of ideas. He took on board all of our ideas and turned them into a wonderful space that has made such a difference to our house. We were so Impressed with the craftsmanship and attention to detail of all of James’ team, plus everyone was so friendly! James was great at communicating what was happening throughout the project which made a big difference to us. Another positive was that although James’ initial quote was on the high side, it was for the whole job unlike other companies who quoted a basic price but we then found out there were lots of hidden extras. Overall our experience with defined builds was great, so much so that we contacted them again to build our extension!

We used this company to build a new roof & complete a loft conversion. Positives: superb craftsmanship, professionalism and job ran on time. Negatives: none Would highly recommend.

James fitted a new kitchen for us. He assisted with the design, always turned up when promised, and generally did a fantastic job. We are very pleased with our kitchen, it looks great and everything works perfectly. I can highly recommend Defined Builds, they are very professional, careful and considerate.

James fitted a new kitchen and installed a new cloakroom toilet. Although on this instance James was not involved in planning the kitchen, it became evident during the process that he was more than capable of taking the project from planning to completion. Both projects were completed to our satisfaction. James excelled in both carpentry, tiling and external plumbing. He was able to call on assistance from experienced colleagues to complete more specialist work in plumbing and electrics. James was able to work around the usual problems presented by having people living in the house whilst the work was undertaken. We were very happy with the outcome and now have a kitchen and cloakroom to be proud of. We would recommend James and his team to anyone planning a similar project.

James and his colleagues were very professional and did a great job on my kitchen. Very clean, tidy and respectful. The work was of a very high standard and I am very happy indeed. I can highly recommend this company.
