“I hired Desert Rose to refinish all of our outside doors. Because of the extreme heat in Arizona, they recommended an acrylic finish instead of a gloss lacquer finish because acrylic will hold up much better. Desert Doors then restored the laundry room door which is mostly glass with alder wood. The door had severe damage from direct sunlight from the west. The door had cracks and other issues. Desert Rose was able to refinish the door back to its original state and once the acrylic was applies, it look like a new door. Lastly was the front door which is 48" x 9'; a massive alder wood door. The door hung to one side, scraping on the tile, so the door had not been used in two years. An examination revealed the panels were separating and no wooden rods or lag bolts had been used to keep the door together. The owner was hesitant to take on the door since it required reassembling and making the door square. However replacing the door would have cost $10,000 so I reassured the owner that Desert Rose was not responsible if the repair did not work out. Well it did with great results. The door was literally in pieces when removed from the hinges. Desert rose reassembled the door, was able to square it up and inserted very long lag bolts to hold the entire door in place. Refinishing was completed, the acrylic finish applied and the door rehung after working on the five hinges. They replaced the door hardware with new hardware that I had order. Test the door it it was not working much better than when we purchased the home in 2010. They dedicated 2 crews to refinishing and repairing the doors. Their work is superior to any other door work I had contracted for in the past. Desert Rose went way above and beyond and I can't say enough about them. If picture of the 2 doors get posted before and after, anyone reading this post will be amazed. I would recommend Desert Rose to anyone in need of door repair and refinishing.
