“I was looking to have a reclaimed oak dining table made and found the folks at Thompson were a good fit. They were helpful in advising me about materials and finish and were flexible to changes to make the piece my own. The table came out great, as did the chairs that they stained and finished to match what they had created. Communication was good, prices were fair, delivery and set up were as promised. I would recommend them without hesitation.”

“My experience with Il Decor has been nothing short of amazing. I started with a storage problem and little idea of how to solve it. Michael was so knowledgeable about an amazing closet systems partner they have called Presotto. Everything was custom designed from the dimensions to the compartments to the gorgeous wooden finish. The unparalleled customer service did not stop after the sale was made. I was able reach out with questions and concerns at odd hours and weekends and still was happily assisted. I am so pleased with the final product and would recommend Il Decor to anyone who wants the best quality, of both product and service, when redecorating or remodeling their home.”

“We worked with Saltwoods to design a custom dining table for our home. We wanted something that would be highly functional but also beautiful and sophisticated. Saltwoods helped us understand all the different options for materials and finish, and we ended up with a beautiful walnut table that met all of our specifications. We are thrilled with the result and have received many compliments when we have people over for family gatherings and dinner parties. The table is also extremely well built and is durable enough to withstand three young children (and all their art projects). The Saltwoods team provided excellent service and came back to make minor modifications as needed to achieve the end result we desired. Working with local craftsmen who take pride in their work makes all the difference!”

“Taima was very patient and considerate as we worked through how my wife and I wanted to incorporate sentimental materials into our piece. The material was taken from an old barn my father-in-law had and we carried with us to Boston. Taima was able to incorporate the wood beautifully into our more modern head board. We went through many iterations with her before deciding on the direct we wanted to go. Tiama is a skilled craftswoman and is committed to her customers satisfaction.”

“I went to the Chair Fair just to start looking around for a new kitchen set with no intention of buying. The selection was very big and they had all different styles with reasonable prices. The salesperson who waited on me was very knowledgeable and most importantly patient. I ended up buying a set there because I felt like they had enough choices and price ranges for me to find something.”

“Davida at Nauticals of Marblehead does beautiful custom work the pleases her clients while respecting the history of the wooden boats where she gets her materials. She has made a few custom pieces for me and for me to give as gifts and my recipients are touched to have something so personal that captures their love of boats and sailing. They are thrilled to show off her fine work in their homes and boats. She offers many options for design, wood, finished and handles to make just the piece that you want for your home of boat. If you have your own old pieces she works with you to incorporate those into her design. Davida is a pleasure to work with and delivers the finished products on time and at the cost promised.”
