Couldn't recommend this company highly enough. We felt the price for our 3 metre table was reasonable until we had our table delivered - then we realised what a bargain we had. The quality is wonderful as is the workmanship. Elizabeth patiently answered all our questions and we even got a picture of our table being made. We've now got the table of our dreams and hope to buy other items from them in the future.

Wonderful workmanship and excellent service. I couldn’t recommend Makers more highly. We bought a table a few years ago with benches because I thought we didn’t have enough room for chairs. This arrangement has served us very well and allowed us to seat a number of guests. Recently we decided that we would prefer chairs and we did have enough room to accommodate them. Our lucky daughter has inherited the benches and plans to save up for a table. We are delighted with the chairs and so were all our guests over Christmas.

We had been searching for a table for 6 years but couldn’t find the combination of factors we wanted - rustic style, knotty character or reclaimed oak, chunky top and legs - in the length and width we wanted. We came across Makers on the Web and were delighted to find they could make a table to a bespoke size and use characterful, sustainable french oak from nearby forests. Although English, they are based in France but this didn’t prove to be a problem. Communication by email was frequent and efficient and we received updates and photos as the job progressed. A great deal of care was taken to establish and meet our requirements and we were offered plenty of detailed advice about size and finish. Delivery was also very reasonably priced and not much more than had it come from London. We now have a table of real beauty which we admire on a daily basis. Makers Bespoke are a first class outift. It took us 8 years to decide on the table we wanted and it was worth every penny to have it made to our own specification. The table is beautiful and just as importantly, the service was first class. Elizabeth was extremely professional, from the moment we were contemplating using her company - she was never pushy - through to placing the order and taking delivery, she kept us informed of progress every step of the way and was more than happy to advise us on any questions we had. I would strongly recommend using them.

From our initial contact with Makers, it was clear that they fully understood what we wanted, and focused on providing us with exactly that. We were cautious about ordering such an integral part of our home (8 seater table for the kitchen) without setting eyes on it, but the reality lived up to our expectations and beyond. Elizabeth took the time to understand what we wanted from the table, the setting it would be in, and our knowledge of what they could provide. Lots of pictures and discussions based on sizes and styles was no problem at all to ensure we were confident and happy with what would arrive. On the day of arrival, Matthew & Ez who built the table bought it in to the house and set it up as requested. Clearly they have passion and enthusiasm about what they do, and this shines through in their work. Needless to say we are more than delighted with our table, the quality of the wood, and the workmanship is simply stunning. My fears about buying over the internet were totally unfounded. The only problem we have come up with since, is what piece of furniture we are going to buy next !
