“Great experience, high value, very reliable and best crew we ever worked with. Mayer’s construction did a home remodeling for us during the last 6 months. It has been a big home remodel for us that took design and build as well. After months spending finding the right company for us, we have choose to work with Mike & Nathan Mayer from Mayer’s construction. A week after finalizing contract we started working with Su & Luis both company’s architect and engineer. We worked on the new plans we agreed and wanted at first and started to have architect drawings ready, when we got into engineering process, both Mayer’s construction and us didn’t know we were suppose to redone so much of the existing footings and reinforce of additional walls as 20 years ago we did a 2nd story addition that was probably made poorly and unprofessional. They were extremely kind and helpful and kept the price as we agreed on and didn’t changed a thing. The plan process and measurements took about a month or so, and finally we were able to submit the plans to the city of San Jose. After getting the permits done and job card set ( overall 5 months of waiting / SJ is a pretty busy city) we got into work schedule and been ready to move out as the entire home going to be demolished. Mike was very organized both managing and scheduling the team, rough materials arrivals, and to us to be fully briefed with details and what we need and when. The process of work was great and on timeline , city did changed a lot during this time period with their inspection delays but it didn’t interrupt with our schedule or timeline due to great management ahead. We just finished our work and we absolutely in love with our new home! New flooring throughout, new kitchen, new bathrooms, complete open floor plan, new stair case, new rooms reconfigured, new paint, new texture, new windows and sliding doors throughout, all new plumbing and electrical. A brand new and beautiful home we got thanks to Mayer’s construction and the team, Mike, Nathan, Raul, Jose and many more who had a added value and did this work absolute best.”

“We worked with HDR Remodeling twice in our Oakland condo: once in 2007 to convert a hall closet into a laundry closet. Most recently in May-June 2012 to remodel and repaint the whole condo after a major mold remediation. In 2007 we purchased a washer & dryer and needed a closet fixed up to accommodate them. We interviewed a few contractors, but were most impressed with Philip's experience and went with him. His pricing was not the lowest of the contractors we met, but not overly high either. And as with our most recent project, we feel we got quality work for our price. Each professional who came in for their piece of the job (plumber, carpenter, electrician, etc.) was courteous and all of them worked quickly and efficiently to complete the job on time. They could have used sturdier shelving, but it's held up okay these past 5 years. This spring we needed to remodel the condo in preparation for sale. After our move out of the condo last year, we had mold remediation throughout the condo so all our bamboo flooring was taken out, a foot or more of drywall was removed from many interior walls and our bedroom windows were stripped down to the studs. HDR replaced all the drywall, covered the window frames, painted the entire condo, put down new carpeting and replaced a broken sliding door screen. Since we were out of state, Philip did his initial walk-through while on the phone with me then sent photos regularly so we were completely updated each step of the way. The work was done in a timely and efficient manner with HDR sourcing all the materials and workers. Overall I recommend HDR for their excellent customer service, friendly and competent workers and long-time experience. Their prices are a bit high, but not unreasonable for the quality work we've seen.”

“We hired Clever Design and Remodeling to remodel our kitchen in our condo. We had met with two other contracting companies and we were given a similar quote as Clever but to be honest, meeting with Gilli gave me a totally different level of confidence than meeting with the others. We replaced most of the carpeting in our home with European Oak wood flooring which is beautiful. We also had the kitchen cabinets refinished and a new stainless steel over the range microwave installed as well as coordinating new sink fixtures and all new cabinet hardware. Recessed lighting was installed in the living room, kitchen, and master bath with necessary patching and all ceilings painted. Roy was very knowledgeable of all aspects of the project -plumbing, electrical, carpentry- displaying true craftsmanship in his work. Gilli was great to work with, she is very detail oriented and he and his team always left our house and the common areas in the condo building extremely clean (cleaner than it was originally, honestly). The Clever Design and Remodeling team really went above and beyond in making sure we were comfortable and happy with the work. Strongly recommended!!!!”

Thank you so much to Guy and Decor Builders for remodeling my bathroom, I was thinking to do my bathroom for a very long time but I was really nervous about the process and didn’t know any contractor I could trust. Guy made it all look very easy as he explained me every step and was very detailed and patience with me, He helped me choose all the materials and also help me with his contractor discounted prices. “I worked with Inspired builders on my master bathroom remodeling back in 2021. I met David the project manager at the first meeting and he was very professional and honest. The estimate was very reasonable and fair, so after interviewing several companies I hired David and Inspired builders. We started with design, the designer was very thorough helping me choose my tiles and fixtures and took care of the permitting. David was often in my house running the project along with Antony the foreman and the crew. They were very professional and clean making sure my bed cloths are covered and protected. The project turned out exactly as I imagined and I am enjoying my new bathroom every day. I am planning to remodel my second bath next year and I will definitely call David again. Highly recommended!!”

“Tony and his team did an excellent job . They expanded my master bedroom including the bathroom and a walk in closet. I am not the easiest customer. I had so many questions, and Tony was patient with me every step of the way. They were very thorough and competitive. They were constantly updating me and going over the process . The entire experience was great!! Always on time with a great attitude. I want to say that I worked with a few general contractors over the years and it is difficult to find a good one that actually keeps you updated. “Ca Bear is the best, for so many reasons. The first project we did with them was a complete kitchen remodel December 2020. We took down walls, opened up our entire layout and had the best experience ever. A few things that stuck out to us: The speed at which work was completed. So efficient, and that matters when you’re spending a lot of money. Everyday ended with a shop vac sweep and our home was left as clean as it could possibly be. The creative vision that Brenda had for us. I don’t have that lens so thank god for her! The communication that Brenda provided us each day, we always knew what was happening and if there were any changes. Her management was key. Our kitchen was completed 2.5 years ago now, and everyday we sit there and say, “we love our kitchen.” We just love it! After the kitchen we did a closet remodel, again, awesome. Salvador is an incredible wood worker and again, Brenda make the whole process so smooth. A year ago we did a basement and laundry room conversion into a bedroom and laundry/full bathroom. We couldn’t be happier. Everything is still looking amazing, the quality of work is superb. We are so happy. I take my referrals seriously, and I back CA Bear while heartedly. They’re good people, trustworthy and hard working. And to me that matters the most.”

“After doing extensive research and talking to multiple contractors I settles on Mr & Mrs. Construction for my bathroom renovation project. From initial consultion to design to picking of tiles and materials they were always there to guide us when we needed it. Lital was the project manager for us and she was a pleasure to deal with.
