“Kathie has a natural gift for design - she is AMAZING! She takes the time to build a relationship with her customers and gets to know your likes and dislikes to ensure her ideas / concepts are aligned with your taste. We had the pleasure of working with Kathie to design our custom built home in Ham Lake. The design workstream required a lot of decisions and she made it EASY! When you work with Kathie you will have the opportunity to explore design and she will bring it to life in your own home. The final interior design of our home exceeded my expectations by far. We're looking forward to continuing our relationship with Kathie as we "fill in the blanks" in some of our key rooms. In closing, I highly recommend Kathie for any design needs/challenges. “We have been so pleased with the interior recommendations that Laurie McDowell has made for our new house on Vashon Island in Washington. Laurie began helping us with our interior finishes after we began building our new contemporary Northwest house. We had already made some interior decisions prior to Laurie coming on board, but she was able to take those decisions, improve on them and add her own finishes to bring it altogether in a cohesive, beautiful contemporary look. In addition Laurie did a furniture layout for every room utilizing our current furniture and helped us pick out and purchase additional furniture. Laurie is so easy to work with and she has great taste. She is able to work in every medium from very traditional to contemporary/modern. Laurie tries hard to understand clients tastes before making recommendations to insure that they end up happy with the finished product. The suppliers that she works with have a great deal of respect for her which translates into a real benefit for her clients It has been such a fun and great experience that in the process we now consider Laurie a friend, not just an interior design person.”

“I first received Laurie's name from a highly respected friend who was having Laurie assist her in the design of a new house. I contacted her for my re-model and she came over for an interview and a survey of my house. After discussing my plans, ideas, and budget, she presented me with plans and options. The renovation proceeded quickly and Laurie maintained her oversight. The results were fantastic, but bittersweet, as I am moving from this beautiful house, however, a sale was accomplished within a week, in no small part due to the magic Laurie wrought. The improvements more than paid for themselves and the new owners love all the upgrades. I only wish that I had met Laurie earlier so that I could enjoy the beautiful house for a little while longer!”

“Kathy has helped us in an ongoing town house renovation since around 2005. We did things gradually over the years. She is always ready to help us with her expertise which is outstanding. Our latest project was our master bath. She picked tile, cabinetry, lighting, colors, etc. She also guided us with the general layout of the area. We couldn't be happier.”
