“"Let the experts do their job" It's a credo that I've lived by in so many aspects of my life, and if I ever needed a real-life example, it's Alanna and Tracy. My wife and I had utilized every profession and craft wizard as we maneuvered our way thru a massive, total, complete and life changing remodel of our master bedroom/bathroom suite. However, the 99% of cost, dust, angst and worry would've been meaningless if not for their final touches. Our furniture, new flooring, and freshly painted walls had to stay but we gave them free reign beyond that. A few visits later they asked us to "go away for a few hours" and we returned to a reveal that we still marvel at all these months later. Simply put, not only would we have screwed it up had we tried to it ourselves, but we'd probably still be searching for something because we know that something needs to go there but we don't know what that something is. We can't wait to embark on our next project and once again let them spin their magic throughout our home.”

“Judy Elliott has a wonderful creative eye and beautiful design aesthetic. She is now working on the third design project for us. She created a spectacular Vermont themed new bath which is cool, contemporary and used all Vermont based materials including Vermont slate, Danby marble, river rock, and Vermont artisans. She also designed a perfect family room working with existing dark, old barn board which resulted in a very comfortable, bright, and pretty room with a touch of whimsy. She has come up with a creative design solution for our master bedroom which will result in privacy for an open space and a cohesive, attractive theme. Judy is so easy to work with - she is flexible, deadline oriented, and fun!”

“This text box isn't long enough for me to convey how amazing Lauren Milligan Design is! She recently helped us with a pretty large renovation: the entire first floor (kitchen, lounge, dining, mudroom, office, powder room, living room). Lauren was able to interpret my child-like descriptions of what I envisioned and turned it into our dream renovation- on time and within our budget! She was patient and understanding when I went round and round about counter tops; she helped me refocus on the design and stopped me from over-thinking it! Lauren was meticulous with our budget and was able to negotiate where to save and where to spend. We couldn't be happier with our project. Everyone who sees our renovation listens to me sing her praises! I can't recommend Lauren Milligan Design more highly!”

“Ann and David Sargent are experienced, highly sophisticated and elegant designers. I first met Ann 20 years ago, when she helped me decorate and renovate a new home in The Upper Valley of NH. Then she expertly helped me reuse the furniture, draperies and oriental rugs in subsequent moves to PA, CT and now back to the Upper Valley--adding pieces only sparingly and refashioning the draperies to fit new window configurations. In addition, both Ann and David helped us redesign a NY apartment which we bought 10 years ago. David-- a specialist In efficient, imaginative use of space--designed a floor plan beyond our wildest dreams and oversaw the building contractor. Everyone who comes to the apartment asks for his name. Ann did her splendid decorating, but also exercised her significant expertise not just in the cosmetics of everything but in understanding structural and/or mechanical features important to the ultimate results. These two are the best.”

“My husband and I downsized to an older home on Narragansett Bay. Although the views are stunning, the house needs some updating. Sue has been instrumental in helping us to transform our home into a space that not only works for us, but is equally as beautiful inside as the views are outside! Sue has an impeccable eye and helped me to see things that I could not on my own. She has talked me off the ledge many times during this project and I could not have done it without her patient guidance and tremendous knowledge of home renovation/decor!”

“We absolutely loved working with Marcia. We were connected with her through our builder who contracted Marcia to design our dream lake home and she was pretty much part of our family for 1 1/2 years through the entire design/ build process, including furnishings. She uses a 3 D design modeling tool which helps her clients try on different design details and was extremely helpful in allowing us to visualize what the actual house would look like. It was so fun watching our vision come to life. This tool was especially helpful given we lived 5 hours away. Marcia is an amazing communicator and always so positive. Where others say “I have to”, Marcia says “I get to”. She is so talented and gives you her honest opinion which is what we needed and valued. When designing an open floor plan and making furniture choices it is often difficult to see how it will all pull together but Marcia was great at advising us and we had total confidence in her. When building a custom home, the selection process can be overwhelming but Marcia made it fun for us and took charge. We always felt like we were in good hands and absolutely love our new house. If you are looking for a talented experienced designer who understands every aspect of the home design process and has amazing relationships with suppliers and contractors, I highly recommend Marcia. She is someone we now consider to be a good friend. If you’re looking for a designer who gets you and adds tremendous value to the process, I highly recommend you call Marcia.”

“We worked with Amanda on a total renovation of our house. Amanda has both a great eye and great ears. She easily learned our style and preferences, and helped us refine the scope of the project. Thoughtfully-crafted story boards arrived to illustrate choices and combinations of everything from paint color to hardware to fixtures, wall coverings and furniture. Communication was smooth and choices were made in time for contractor needs. Installations were monitored and finishing touches were flawlessly executed. “Sandy and I have worked on 3 different projects since she started her company. Also at this time Sandy is helping me with a new kitchen project as we have recently downsized. She is very professional and fun to work with. She can work with all different client styles. My style seems to lean towards relaxed elegance and she nails it every time I hire her. However I have seen some other projects she has done that are contemporary or lake style, classic etc. and they all reflect her clients tastes and are lovely. She is truly an artist. I have recommended her to all my friends.”
