“I contacted Marian Margetson after seeing her work published in a magazine. I liked the way she used antiques in a contemporary setting as well as her sense of light. Marian designed and oversaw the construction of our kitchen and co-designed our landscape. Over the years, I have relied on Marian for various design projects. My husband is a collector of 19th century French and contemporary paintings. For our first meeting, Marian had us each select a painting and discuss with her what we liked about it. I thought this was an interesting, efficient and effective way to get a sense of what we were about, i.e. what our eyes liked to see. With this information, Marian designed a Moroccan-inspired kitchen which still takes my breath away 10+ years later. I recall that one of my big concerns was that a brand new kitchen would make the rest of our home feel ‘tired’, thus requiring more remodeling. Marian assured me she would never do that to us. And she never did. The kitchen works seamlessly with the rest of the house. In fact, the kitchen stepped the whole house up. This was my introduction to interior design with a superbly talented professional. I was hooked. Our next project with Marian was our landscape. She worked with the talented landscape designer Tamara Lewis and Dave Romeri of Romeri Landscape. Marian’s focus was the back garden which is French-inspired. It brings me solace and joy. While the garden was being installed, Marian brought over a catalog to show me an Anduze pot. She suggested we buy a few for the French garden. What she showed me in the catalog was not an original but it was affordable. I thought "What the heck is an Anduze pot?" Well, that started a love affair which continues today and which inspired a trip to southern France in search of the original. Marian has inspired many 'love affairs' in my life. I think Marian is a gifted designer, highly intellectual and artistic. And QUICK!!! What she can see in her mind's eye in a matter of seconds is amazing. I think you get a lot of bang for your buck! She is wonderful to be with, very personable, generous, articulate and fun.”

“i have shopped several times in their store and i have seen their work in the model homes of Terra Bella Subdivision built by Mark Malkemus. Their work is magnificent. It is current, but not too modern. It is bright and welcoming. when i see their work i could stay for hours just looking to see what they did with their funiture, art and accessories in the differnt rooms. i have not used them because i discovered them after i built and decorated my house, but i recommend them to EVERYONE.”
