“Vahena is a very professional, gifted and passionate interior architect. We needed to remodel an outdated 1960's house we had recently purchased to make it our home and Vahena provided great input as much in terms of spatial design and layout as in terms of kitchen or bathroom design. She provided concept boards, samples for all the materials she recommended, costing for all the furniture and fittings, from floorings to bathroom tiles, kitchen to bathroom furniture and fittings, light fixtures to window treatments. She challenged us to step out of our comfort zone on some aspects of the design and we are so happy we did: the bespoke staircase she designed for us is one of the most stunning elements of our new home. Vahena is truly easy to work with and made the project hassle and stress-free for us! I wish we had used her services with our previous property, it would have avoided us a lot of headaches and time spent working with the architect, sourcing and managing a builder - all that with both my husband and I having a very young family and 2 full-time jobs. Her interpretation of the brief in her proposal took that and delivered in ways both thrilling and unexpected. It was emotional. It was a completely five star experience. “Julia stepped in to help me at the eleventh hour. I was renovating a small 'buy to let' town house in Cheltenham, when I had an accident, and was unable to complete the job myself. I had just got to the soft furnishing stage. The curtains i had purchased previously needed hanging and dressing. There were a number of issues with the curtains and Julia turned disaster into a success story for me by re-aligning the interlining and hems. The resulting job was fantastic. Julia also adapted a roman blind to comply with recent child proof legislation, which I was unaware of. She sourced the safety labels to attch to the blind and advised where to purchase supplies for the future. She also gave me advice about the lighting, where to purchase the right shades and what would work well. Julia's support has meant that I am now in a position to rent the house out and to be able to capitalize on the asset as quickly as possible. I would recommend Julia to anyone who needs help and advice with interior design projects. I found her to be very empathetic and sensitive to my needs. She has a great feel for what is right for a property and carefully explains the options. She picked up a job that very few people would be willing to take on. She understood the need for speed and went out of her way to accommodate me, and the work, within a week of our first contact. I feel that I have gained a 'finished' house and a friend. I like to work with really professional people and Julia's standards are of the highest order. Her costs were extremely reasonable and she delivered a great result in a very timely fashion.”
