We are a London based interior design consultancy designing contemporary and traditional interiors. We source and design furnishings and bespoke joinery, and build a palette of finishes to enhance your interiors. We often re-plan your existing space to maximise the potential of your home. We 'value engineer' your project ensuring your budget is always carefully observed. We commission art and source antiques, and place your cherished pieces with thought and care. Prior to establishing John Carpenter Design in 2009, John worked as a senior interior designer for 20+ years for several of the UK's top designers, John has designed and project managed a wide variety of UK and international projects. Excellent spatial planning on 3 refurbs of flats, enhancing all rooms and allowing for myriad of addtional features to fit in seemlessly. Beautifully restrained colour schemes. Highly recommended!

John has designed and refurbishment three of my properties to-date. His design of the two investment properties exceeded my expectations and has ensured a steady stream of tenants, I am very happy with the end results. He also designed and project managed the refurbishment of my own home. His logical re-planning of the space has transformed my home. I am so pleased with all the new custom joinery and the new furnishings. The budgets he presented were always clear and easy to follow, as was his schedule of all the building works. I highly recommend John, he has an imaginative and creative approach and an eye for detail, providing me with design solutions I would never have though of myself. I will certainly be using John in the future.

John coordinated a major project involving complete refurbishment and building work whilst we continued to live in our home. He did a fantastic job on the design and sourcing as well as on the coordination of the various different suppliers. He has excellent attention to detail and ensured that all contractors completed work of the highest standard. He was also very good at presenting a range of cost options and working within budget throughout the different phases of the project. The items which John designed personally such as beautiful wood and glass interior doors and a leather banquette have been heavily complimented by visitors to the house! We would definitely use John again for future projects and thoroughly recommend him for this type of work.
