“Barry is a fabulous contractor who has helped us with for all of our interior remodeling projects! He recently remodeled our en suite bathroom, turning a very outdated, crammed space into something clean and modern. It was my first bathroom remodel and he was wonderful about explaining the process to me, helping me pick out tiles, and figuring out what needed to be done to get to the modern, but not generic style I was looking for. His attention to detail was amazing and he was creative about finding solutions to problems (like me buying a sink with holes that were too small for the faucet and handles). Along the way, he suggested things I hadn't thought of, like recessed lighting, that really added to the modern feel of the space. Barry was respectful of our time and kept the house clean during the remodel. His rates are very reasonable and he stayed within the estimate he gave me. I highly recommend his company!”

“Judi at Kitchens Inside Out was fantastic to work with. Great design concepts for a challenging space. We have a large kitchen (1927 original construction) that was probably last renovated in the 1980's. It was taken down to the studs and re-designed so that we could 1) remove the two posts on either side of the island that were really an eye sore, 2) shrink the size of the island so that the space was more comfortable for working at the island, 3) switch around where the sink had been previously to a better orientation with nicer views out the window facing the front of the house, 4) add two additional windows on either side of the La Canche range, 5) add an additional dishwasher and integrated sink over in the bar area of the kitchen and tons more. I really like the Crystal cabinetry that Judi meticulously measured and styled for our kitchen and bar/entertainment side of the kitchen as well. Kitchens are too important to try and design on your own. Best advice is to work with a professional that knows what they are doing, has the resources and knowledge, and that is Kitchens Inside Out.”

“Nadja was able to walk into our kitchen and dining room and immediately come up with great ideas for re-doing the entire space. She explained her process thoroughly, which was helpful for us novices, and she was always easy to talk with through out the entire process. We wanted a more "transitional" style than her usual modern style, and she was able to help us with design elements that worked for us. We loved that Nadja will share her opinions with you - we wanted her expertise, but she is flexible enough to work around any specific elements you really love. We hope to work with Nadja again on additional projects, and we highly recommend her.”

“We recently worked with Refresh & Build to do some work in our kitchen, and in a few living spaces. We found out about them through a friend who had also had work done, and are very pleased with how great everything turned out. Our work included demolition, electrical, plumbing, dry wall, flooring and paint - so pretty much complete renovation. They are extremely experienced, were able to work within our budget and helped provide recommendations on materials. We worked most closely with Sam, who was extremely responsive and really helped take a lot of stress out of the project. Couldn’t be happier with the end results, and would definitely recommend them!”

“We worked with Jane at Kozo Designs to redo our kitchen, dining room and fireplaces. The original kitchen was dated, complete with pink marble and neon lights, and did not fit our tastes or the vision for our house. Jane worked closely with us to open up and lighten up the feel of the house, which included removing two walls, adding a window, and including more open-kitchen features. We've lived with this kitchen going on 7 years, and I am always enormously please with how well the kitchen/dining/living room is designed. There are several little details that would not have occurred to me that delight me every time I use them. We have worked or met with other designers, and what we really like about working with Jane is how receptive and understanding she is to your ideas, and her follow-through in executing your vision. That being said, she's also not afraid to give you her honest opinion about things, and more often than not her words are insightful and sensible. As a final bonus, Jane is also really organized and professional, and as a result worked seamlessly with our contractor. I would recommend, and have recommended, Kozo Designs to anyone looking to remodel. She does not disappoint!”

“I met with Alissa to discuss my plans for a design plan for a second kitchen in my house. I found her to be practical, honest and detail oriented. Even thought I did not end up working with her (because my project was very small and more of a do-it yourself type of plan, she explained), she gave me a lot of good ideas on how to save money and simplify my plan. I had planned to put in a lot of expensive custom made cupboards and a bar. She recommended that I use the shelving that was already in place and use a pre-fab bar rather than a custom made one. I just went to the store and found sliding glass doors to cover the shelves and a bar that folds into a table. It will save a good amount of money. I appreciated Alissa's suggestions and patience and would definitely hire her for a bigger project in the future.”
