“We initially hired McVey Home Improvement to remodel two bathrooms. The McVey team offered some excellent ideas for the remodeling with a reasonable price. We had interviewed other companies, but by far, the McVey presentation was the most professional. Once the project started, we were impressed by Mr. McVey's promptness, positive attitude and expertise. The two bathrooms were completed in a timely fashion -- we were so happy with the bathrooms, we immediately scheduled McVey Home Improvement to remodel an unfinished attic space. Just like the bathrooms, we were pleased with the attic presentation, the price, and the entire project. The attic space turned out beautiful and this led us to schedule McVey Home Improvement soon after to remodel our kitchen. The McVey team again designed a kitchen that is beautiful and functional. Bottom line: The presentations reflected a true budget, deadline and fabulous design - all with a positive "can do" attitude! Would hire again!!”

At least 7 different men worked on the various projects. They were respectful and friendly and left each night leaving the house clean. “I was first introduced to Jennifer Deihl in 2005, when I was beginning a major kitchen remodel. She has an amazing eye for design. She knows how to make a kitchen flow. Her designs are beautiful and unique. She will work with the customer to make sure every aspect is as they envision. Since that remodel, I've used Design Classics for multiple other projects including master bath and mudd room. Each time, I have felt that she has put time and thought into the design to make sure it is exactly what we want. Overall, Design Classics is always easy to work with. They do a wonderful job. “I hired Kaja Gam to decorate a living room of an old Tudor house. Then part of my ceiling in another room caved in. They found the leak, tore out the ceiling, found an excellent roofer to fix the roof and chimney (which was also leaking), added pot lights to the ceiling, re-insulated, finished the ceiling. The we could finally concentrate on the decorating. They looked through the entire house, asking us what we liked and what we didn't. They gave us recommendations for almost every room of the house. We worked together to choose decor for the front room (including, painting, adding crown molding, adding a custom chandelier, custom drapes, custom throw pillows, custom rug, and shopping for furniture). They helped us replace several windows and the front door (all of which were custom jobs, since the house is from the 20s). Side note - we had tried to have the windows replaced a year earlier and every company we contacted said it couldn't be done because they didn't do custom sizes. Kaja and co. found a cabinet maker to help us add more storage to the kitchen. The cabinets are custom, but match the existing cabinets perfectly. They changed the lighting in the kitchen, and added a backsplash. Bottom line is they can do anything, and the quality is impeccable. They always go for high end items, so if you have a lot of money to spend, you are in luck. There were several times we had to say that their choices were just too expensive, but alternatives were found (sometimes by us, sometimes by them). If we had an unlimited budget, I'd have them re-do just about everything in the house. In the end, I wish they had spent a little more time on the finishing touches (placing accessories, etc), but overall an excellent company that I definitely hope to use again.”
