“We used Quality Quantity Construction (QNQ) to completely renovate our second home interior in Grass Valley, CA. Since we also reside in Albany NY, and knew we could not be on site for much of the project, we needed a contractor service that was honest and reliable, in addition to creatively and technically skilled. We consulted with the local contractor's association and the state licensing board, conducted interviews, read reviews and obtained other local input in our selection process. QNQ was our clear choice and, two years later, we could not be happier. Our California home interior is beautiful, comfortable and completely functional. The construction process was collaborative and pleasant. We were provided with regular feedback and all our inquiries were quickly answered. We were not surprised with this positive outcome. However QNQ exceeded our expectations in several additional ways; we saw instances of creative problem solving, attention to detail and aesthetic guidance which were invaluable. He was fast, accommodating, and completed the work, which included taking out a wall, putting in a wall, rebuilding a ceiling and a floor, and installing a kitchen, in 6 weeks. “Owner Art Unland is a very nice man and a good contractor, polite and cordial. So is his assistant Cameron. This was a large project that took a few months to complete. My mother had a kitchen fire and smoke damaged the entire house. There were a few hiccups but things with Art went fairly smoothly. His company workers were polite and efficient. The painting sub-contractor did good work and again the crew was well mannered and respectful of my mother and her property. The only thing I would warn anyone about is his cabinet subcontractor D&G Cabinets. One of the reasons that kept me from giving Artland Construction a 5 star rating, were these guys. They measured many parts of the kitchen incorrectly resulting in delays of several weeks in the projects. The quality of their work is mediocre at best. The co-owner and installer Josh is a nightmare to deal with; rude and always in a rush. My mother wanted him to repair some problems with the cabinet installation. All he did was argue with her about how she was wrong and that's not the way they do things now. He never finished the job to our satisfaction and really couldn't care less. We now have to hire another cabinet contractor to come in at our cost to finish the work properly. Which is fine, since we’d never let D&G into my Mother’s home again anyway. Please ask Art to find you what I'm sure will be a much better cabinet sub-contractor. The only other negative is that we found his billing format to be a bit confusing. We shared this with him and he was very receptive.”

The quality of my Thomasville cabinets is outstanding and I would highly recommend them. (We only had one manufacturing problem with edging on two of the library units, but Lorri had a rep come out and make it right. Two new replacements were at our door within days.) Lorri is a knowledgable designer, creative, up to date on innovations, an outstanding liaison, and a pleasure to work with! Would I recommend her? Absolutely!”
