“Hakan was the project manager for our renovation. Each detail was explained thoroughly. I interviewed several home improvement companies in the northern Virginia area; none matched the knowledge of product information and costs of construction for completely renovating my kitchen. Architectural renditions were exact to specifications;no last-minute changes had to be made. “Chris Cardinale the owner is who I hired to be the general contractor and complete a kitchen, bathroom, living/dining room. His creativity turned an old house that needed updating to a show piece. He is not only skilled but an honest, consummate professional. Prices are also most fair. Nothing better than a contractor who shows up on time and the days scheduled and on top of it on a daily basis,leaves your house cleaner than when he arrived.”

“My husband was tearing down and rebuilding our deck. We looked at supplies and pricing options at the big box home improvement stores and decided to go to Tart mainly so I could see samples of the actual decking material since big boxes only had brochures with color swatches. I'm so glad we made that trip. Not only did I get to see all the samples (and take some home free), but we also got to meet Rich. My husband is a very handy person and I would say probably more knowledgable than the average guy about construction. Rich was the deck guy extraordinaire. He helped my husband package supplies together and even made some design suggestions that saved us a good deal of money. He knows what he is doing and has built several decks himself (not to sure I would feel real confident taking that kind of advice from the big box). He even gave my husband his cell number in case he ran into any issues. Best part of all, Rich's services were free (and he spent A LOT of time working with us). I would also like to mention that Tart Lumbers prices were extremely competitive and in a few cases cheaper than big box. They were very accommodating to our kids also. I wish I could remember the gentleman's name who directed us to Rich and then got little construction aprons and pencils for my kids, it was a really nice touch and it kept them occupied for a while. Bottom line, Tart Lumber a great experience, highly recommend!”
