Original Kitchens

We came across Mike Whitmore in his Original Kitchens shop/showroom quite by accident whilst searching for a small company who would supply and install a new kitchen for us by using good quality materials and experienced workmanship. Mike showed us lots of examples of materials, drew up a lovely computerised plan of how the kitchen we decided on would look and provided a very reasonable quote which was within our budget. Mike listened to our ideas and requirements and knew we were fussy about who would fit the kitchen. We need not have worried as we were allocated "the whirlwind that is Colin!" to do the job and we are delighted with the finished result. Apart from the start date being pushed back 3 days {which was not a problem to us at all) the deadlines were all met and the job was completed within 5 days. Colin was very experienced and also very tidy and just simply got on with the job. He also put up a new light fitting for me with no grumbling about it. He had a bit of help on a couple of days from Michael, his nephew, who was a lovely young man who also knew what he was doing under the expert guidance from Colin. Mike kept us informed of everything all along and called round to the house to discuss the project when necessary. He has an excellent team and the project went without a hitch. The finished kitchen looks very different and we are absolutely delighted with it. We would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this company in the future.

Mike at Original Kitchens did a fantastic job for us. He carefully understood our brief and made some great recommendations on how to best utilise the space we had, He also had an eye for the details, which means we've ended up with a kitchen that surpassed our original expectations, and he even came in under budget. All in all, a great service and a great end result.

We had tried several companies all trying the hard sell and trying to get us to take "add-ons" that we really didn't want and at prices we simply weren't prepared to pay for what was on offer. We came across Mike by accident, and thank God we did. Very approachable, and listened to what we wanted, rather than what others wanted to hear. No qualms about us doing our own installing and totally helpful throughout. Even went that extra mile to resolve an issue caused by the factory. We hired Catherine and Original Kitchens to design our dark and awkwardly shaped kitchen. She listened to us and never said "no" which was exactly what she wanted! We had met other kitchen designers, who said that we could only have this or that only came in a certain shape and that didn't suit us. Catherine listened to us, was proactive and supportive and it really felt like she was our partner through the process. She nailed the design (which no one else did) and we absolutely love our new kitchen. We have been recommending her to friends and would use her again without hesitation.

Mike and Katherine were professional and a pleasure to work with. We had a couple of snag issues which were quickly resolved. The kitchen is of excellent quality we are really pleased with end result. I would certainly recommend Original kitchens

We had an excellent experience with Original Kitchens. We were really impressed with the thought and expertise put into the initial design phase, and we found their ideas and attention to detail extremely good. They listened to our needs, provided really strong suggestions and solutions and drafted up several plans to help us decide on our final design. The project ran to time and budget, and the fitting team were a real pleasure to have in our home - friendly, tidy, top workmanship, liaised really well with our plumber and electrician. All-in, a very positive experience, and ultimately a kitchen which we are so very pleased with - I can't recommend OK highly enough.
