About Us

An RHS Gold Award winning Cheshire based landscape designer and living wall installer. Alexandra Froggatt Design (AFD) is a company dedicated to creating beautiful and original outdoor spaces with a focus on stunning and ecologically sound planting, elegant yet original hard landscaping and using materials in exciting and innovative ways. AFD relishes designing gardens of all sizes in both traditional and contemporary styles with the garden being based both on the genius loci of the space and the personality of the client. Alex offers a full design service including a free initial consultation, concept stage, construction plans, planting plans, 3D CAD rendered drawings to better help the client understand the idea and a detailed maintenance schedule following installation so the clients can care for the garden with ease. She also offers project management of the build to ensure the design is brought to life to the highest standards and most efficient manner. Alex is often involved in RHS Flower Shows and has designed and project managed the build of 4 gardens to date winning 1 Gold and 3 Silver Gilt medals as well as Best in Category at Hampton Court Palace and Tatton. Alongside garden design, Alex is also the official distributor and installer of the Treebox Living wall system for the north and midlands and has successfully installed many systems in London and around the rest of the UK including a prestigious wall in Sloane Square, London and at Lancaster University. Other living wall systems are offered.

We saw Alex's garden at the Hampton Court Flower Show in 2014, and thought it would be just perfect for our new property - a town house with a small garden in Bradford on Avon. We wanted a contemporary design which was interesting and which made the most of the limited space available. Alex's design has given us a fabulous outdoor room, which flows seamlessly from our sitting room, and we love it. Alexandra was recommend to us and we commissioned her to design the gardens around our property. Alexandra was thorough in her initial consultation, finding out my likes and dislikes, colours and how easily I could maintain the garden. She was open to my ideas and input and had a clear pricing policy. her designs were clear and I could easily imagine the finished project. Alexandra helped us to find good quality contractors and she project managed the design and development of the garden including changes we made. We loved Alexandra's professional but friendly approach. She was available when needed and gave us clear timelines and a maintenance plan - although we will be inviting her back yearly as we value her professional input on our developing garden. We hired Alex to design a garden from a very blank canvas after moving into a new build property. She did not fail to deliver and created the most amazing garden which far exceeded our expectations! the design was just perfect and fitted so well with our style.
