“The Hursthouse team patiently spent many hours developing a detailed and extensive renovation plan for our entire property. Major features of the plan included: --installing a brick paver driveway bordered by a snapcut limestone retaining wall --installing bluestone front entry walk and porch --rebuilding backyard bluestone patio and new courtyard area with water fountain and cast iron fence border --extensive landscape lighting both front and back --installing imported planter urns on pedestals --extensive tree & shrub planting, perennials & ground cover. The design added great value and enhanced our enjoyment of our property in ways we never anticipated. The entire Hursthouse team took great pride in their work and went to great lengths to make us very satisfied clients.”

“Mary came out and we discussed what I was wanting in my landscaping. She created a design plan for my front and back yards and hired the needed help to make it happen. It turned out beautiful and I've gotten lots of compliments on my yard!”

“My fiancée and I recently purchased a house and began the process of making it our own. One of the projects, which are ongoing, is to liven up our backyard. Earlier in the year, a garden guy planted 50+ flowers/shrubs along the perimeter of the backyard. An additional recommendation was to install a vintage whiskey barrel to catch rainwater. Overall, the look of the backyard has been greatly enhanced and we have received many compliments, especially on the whiskey barrel. A garden guy is a pleasure to work with, knowledgeable and fair on pricing. Next year, we plan on using him for work along our driveway, as well as the installation of landscape lighting.”

“Our experience with Scott and CMS landscapes was awesome! Very professional. His planning and execution was very good. His suggestions and advice was in the best interest of our needs, and he was not trying to finish off his project and move on. He came back after few months to move some trees, as that's what was best season for that operation. Highly recommended!”

“Over the years, I have had the pleasure to design and install Landscape Illumination systems on a number of projects that John West has designed and installed. As the owner of Night Light, Inc, I have had the opportunity to work at some of the nicest properties throughout Chicago. I am truly impressed with the landscapes designed by John. John does not follow a common road in his approach to properties. He understands his client's thoroughly and develops the entire property to be unique and very special. Calming and a pleasure to enjoy, is how I read his customer's reactions. Never have I seen a boring detail in his work, but instead a refreshing approach to creating excitement in garden spaces. We have worked on smaller city spaces and country estates, where he has transformed them into meaningful islands of paradise. I give John my highest praises for jobs well done.”

“Jane and her team were great to work with. They deliver the plan on time and on budget. We had our front patio re-designed and re-build by them They were also very good about their plant warranty as we had one plant that did not survive our harsh winter. They promptly replace with another one a year later. Sue Krone was fantastic. She was willing to take into consideration my ideas and modified some of the plan accordingly. Waiting to do our backyard revamp in 2018!”

“I have hired Premier Outdoor Environments for all of our landscape needs. We use them all year long for landscape and snow removal needs. We have done larger projects with them also. They are a great company: honest guys, courteous crews, very clean, our home has never looked better since we have hired them. They are creative too, they offer up all kinds of options to our designs. We found their prices fair, they kept within our budget. I cannot say enough about their great service, I would recommend them to all our friends and others knowing that POE will do a stand-up job.”
