“I would highly recommend Kris for any landscape design project. We have a tricky sloped backyard. He created a beautiful and well thought out design incorporating both plant design and hardscaping. He was professional, fast, and very accommodating for specific requests and changes during the design process. Plus he knows a great deal about plants and how they will grow and look together depending on the look you want. My favorite thing is he has a community of the actual working landscapers who he happily recommends once you are ready to execute his designs. You can’t go wrong choosing Kris for your project.”

“Melissa MacDonald is a very talented and professional Landscape Architect. My husband and I are both architects and we had been trying to design the landscape for our home in the heart of historic Lexington MA. for a year. When we asked Melissa to help us, she promptly delivered a design that was sensitive to the traditional setting of Lexington's historic district and satisfied our spatial requests. The hard-scape is elegant and we have been enjoying the sequence of blooming plants since May. I am thrilled with Melissa's design and with her service. She worked seamlessly with the contractor who highly respected her expertise. I am happy to write this review because I have been recommending her to my clients and to my friends who have been admiring her work as well.”

“We chose bp design to landscape our side and back yards after a house renovation. We have been very happy with results of the design which included a large amount of hardscape work (patio, steps, walkways), as well as many plants. Ms. Pantoja, head architect, worked with us closely to develop the plans, taking into consideration our wants, desires, and budget. She accompanied us to pick out the plants, and she was onsite for much of the hardscape work. We would recommend bp design highly.”

“She's like a painter with plants. With a superb knowledge of natives. I loved her presentation and her education of us--complete with visuals--on all that she wanted to do with plants. She has a clean, modern sensibility, but with a friendly, approachable, style, even good humor in the work. She's willing to take ideas and bring them to fruition--we came prepared with ideas and she showed us how to make them work. And then, she brought her own smart vision. Vision. That's what she's got. And really knows her plants. It's worth noting that she has so much talent. With this kind of talent, she could be impossible to work with, but she is THE LOVELIEST human being to be around. A great, attentive listener, with a strong desire to please. She works her hiney off, meets deadlines, is on top of details, just overall, committed to satisfaction.”

“We hired Dan and Corey last summer to design plans for landscaping a difficult hillside and our front yard. They selected and installed the plantings and sod and installed cobblestone edging and a paver walkway. We decided to have them do the work in three phases to match our budget. They have completed the installation for two of the three phases, and we are thrilled with the outcome. Their work is top-notch. They have an eye for design and they use top-rated materials. In fact, they turned an eyesore of a rocky, weed-filled hillside into an asset. They know what they're doing, and they do things the right way. They are a small company (just the two guys) so they do the work themselves - which is how we like to do things. We plan to have them do the final phase this summer.”

Gail Alden, with wonderful knowledge and extreme patience, listened closely to our thoughts, fears and desires. She developed a plan that has turned out beautifully. “No one is better than Blade of Grass. Exceptional vision coupled with practical advice. Our backyard plan morphed from a simple "let's knock off the rotting deck" to a backyard redo replete with blue stone patio, field stone wall, irrigation system, tree removal and many new trees and plantings. The team worked hard under difficult conditions (no access for machinery, giant boulder to dig out), the job was done in a timely manner and the outcome surpassed my very high expectations. Tom and Pete were easy to work with, professional and fun. They listened to what we wanted and guided us on key plantings/trees. When a winter storm caused a tree to list heavily to one side, they came and replanted it - almost a year after the job. I am incredibly happy with our backyard transformation and highly recommend Blade.”
