“We hired the services of April House Garden in 2021 to design the landscape of our newly rebuilt cottage. Fast forward to the end of 2023 the garden looks incredibly beautiful which includes a diverse assortment of flowers, plants, and some trees. We are very happy with their services and will contract them again for a second phase of works in 2024. Eduardo and Ana.”

“I found Jane on an internet search for a garden designer within my area. Jane is very knowledgeable and very nice to work with. She has some lovely ideas and followed the brief we discussed so that I now have a lovely planting plan for my newly created large bed. She sourced the plants we settled on and they are being delivered next week and Jane will plant them soon after. I can't wait to see what it all looks like! I would highly recommend Jane Jordan Gardens.”
Hendy Curzon Gardens Ltd

“We used Hendy Curzon Gradens to re-design our small walled garden. Even though this was a small project in comparison to some of their other work we were never made to feel any less important. Our first meeting with Adrienne and Nick went really well, we talked at length about all the various options, they listened to our "must have's" and considered the interior of our home in order for our garden compliment this. Their next process was to design and provide several storyboards of how our garden could look, these were well thought through and captured interest. During the landscaping phase, the HC team were excellent. The guys they employ to "build" the garden were very tidy, well mannered and a pleasure to have around. Planting was carried out by Adrienne, her attention to detail was fantastic. Our garden is now full of interest and is about to be a 'burst' of colour. I would recommend Hendy Curzon to anyone. They are a wonderful group of people to work with, who clearly love what they do, they are fresh with ideas but above all like to work with their clients on a partnership level. Great job here and thank you for making our garden such a wonderful place to spend time in.”

Doug Holloway Garden Design

“I have lost count of the number of people who have delighted in the garden that Doug designed and created for me in 2017 - passers by, who have seen the front garden, often stop and ask if they can come round the back to have a look. I even get notes through the door saying how much people enjoy looking at the front garden alone! It has been a joy to watch it develop and there is nothing I would change about it. When Doug first came to look the old walled cottage garden was full of builders rubble, brambles and weeds. Doug listened to my ideas and then came up with a design that incorporated them and so much more. Each area of the garden is full of interest and the planting gives variety and colour all year round. It is accessible for the disabled guests that I have to stay and attracts bees, birds and butterflies. It is completely in keeping with the age of the house and Doug was careful to preserve some of the old features such as the 100 yr old pear tree. He also introduced new fruit trees, a fruit cage and raised beds. The garden is imaginatively and pleasingly divided into sections and seating areas. This makes it easy to manage as I never feel overwhelmed by how much gardening there is to do and can work in sections. In one corner we can sit and enjoy the evening sun - at the moment next to the Fig tree, Ceanothus and Aliums and later beside the Agapanthus, which was the star of the old garden and is enjoying shining again. The patio area outside the bifold kitchen doors and leading to the garden gets the sun earlier in the day, has a garden room which Doug installed opening onto it and provides a wonderful area for parties with string lighting that Doug suggested above on summer evenings. The house had suffered from flooding in the past and Doug thoroughly discussed management options with me and incorporated an incline into the patio which drains into a soakaway. No problems since! My neighbour's little girl calls our garden 'the secret garden' as she loves it so much and so do we. Doug is knowledgeable, polite, collaborative, thoughtful, creative, imaginative and practical - he was able to take my clumsy ideas and turn then into something that exceeded my expectations and will bring us pleasure for years to come. It is also helpful to know that he remains on hand for advice as the garden develops. The project was completed to time and on budget and to a very high quality.”
