Beginning with a very difficult and technical remodeling of our front entrance masonry and driveway that required extensive approvals from town boards and the historical commission. The new approach to the house created a beautiful and elegant approach to the house and was further enhanced with abundant plantings and lighting. We also worked with LandForm partners to remodel, or rather completely rebuild our second story deck, which came out beautifully. We also hired the firm to create a masterplan and richly planted landscape for our vacation home. “Barbara consulted with us with regard to landscaping for our property. The former owners spent $$$ on extensive landscaping and irrigation systems. Unfortunately, they did not work with a Landscape Architect, and the nursery salespeople provided a layout and selection which looked great when installed but after 10 years has grown in to a point where we have an overcrowding problem which can only be resolved by extensive removal of plantings and reconfiguration. Barbara provided us with a Plan to accomplish this and the result is very effective. “I would highly recommend Outdoor Living of NJ for anyone considering investing in a high-end, outdoor kitchen. They were recommended by a neighbor. They were not pushy. They excelled on multiple levels, including design, construction management, and follow-through after completion. My wife and I live in a Hoboken condo with lots of rules and restrictions regarding our roof-top terrace. Outdoor Living of NJ coordinated all required permits and inspections with the town and building management. This project required plumbing (gas for grill and water for ice maker) and electrical (for lights and appliances. They offer various brands of grills and appliances and let us know how they compare, without pushing. We visited a granite yard with Outdoor Living to view stone and granite and it was a pleasant experience. The granite installers did such an awesome job (we have had granite installed before) that we hired them to do work inside our condo after this project. The cost was more reasonable than I initially expected, so we upgraded the ice maker, granite and added some cool, LED dimmable lights, which really makes a difference after the sun goes down. It has been 11 months since our installation and we could not be happier.”

This is an extremely professional organization and I would use them again. Estimates are done by the owner and his drawings will explain exactly what to anticipate. The laborers are on time, reliable and take a lot of pride in their work. The owner is available and will return calls if need be. I cannot see how things could have gone better for both of these large projects for my home.”

“David approached my totally raw 6 acre site on which I was building from scratch. He got in from the very beginning, explaining (and rightfully) that the house should meld seamlessly into its setting. We worked closely together as I - as the homeowner - had some specific ideas but, as it turned out, I went with virtually everything David suggested - even though he was working within a fixed budget. He also worked in tune with my contractor to achieve a splendid, peaceful balance of structure to land. The result has brought me year after year of pleasure and joy. Each of his ideas has matured into an increasingly beautiful landscape, which has been featured on 3 local garden tours through the years. Of very special note are a series of "Grass steps" leading down to the water. This innovation made a silk purse out of a sows ear in that - without his creativity - there would have been a useless, very high maintenance "slope" of no interest whatsoever. David has also been very helpful in returning over the years whenever I had a need, or required his good counsel. Too good to be true? You should see my place!
