Gardens East

Gardens are one of the most important but often neglected area of a home. A well designed outdoor space brings tranquility and interest all year round. An area for entertaining friends and family or an important place for peace and reflection. It’s an extension of your home and should flow effortlessly inside and out of a well designed property, no matter the size. Gardens East is a small, independent garden design and maintenance business which I’ve been running for the last 10 years. With a degree in Fine Art and a Diploma in Garden Design from the highly regarded Capel Manor College, I then immediately went on to win a silver gilt medal for a show garden at Hampton Court, sponsored by Anglian Home Improvements. Since then I’ve been designing and planting gardens all over East/North London and also looking after them. Much of the emphasis of my designs is on plants and I passionately believe in working with nature and not against it. I love working with clients on their gardens and it’s a joy to see the completed design come to life. I’m happy to help with all design enquiries which usually starts with a chat on the phone. I will then arrange an hour long consultation appointment for a small fee (depending on location) where I will view the garden and discuss your ideas and needs. I’ll then put together a quotation for you for the design and planting plans which will include a basic site survey, two or three concept drawings, mood boards, consultation meetings and the final hand drawn plans. I can also provide quotes from tried and trusted landscapers and project manage the build for you. Once the hard landscaping is completed I’ll then return to add the finishing touches with the planting. These are sourced from reputable nurseries and hand picked by myself to ensure quality.
