“Southbay Design & Landscaping redid our backyard over 4 years ago, and have been maintaining it ever since. They are very responsive to any requests we have and are thorough in the maintenance of our yard. I appreciate that they will plant new plants for us if we pick them up and have given advice on what kind of plants work around our yard. They even help out by fixing our sprinklers without us asking (we actually hadn’t realized it was broken but were suspicious of why the grass wasn’t growing well in one spot). We appreciate their professionalism and good work.”

“Nato Vargas and his team did extensive drainage work for us in 2014. This involved taking down the soil level 4 inches in the back garden, digging and installing several french drains and a sump pump. Since then we've had no water accumulation during subsequent rainy seasons, protecting our foundation. The drainage works perfectly! Nato and team have come back twice, in 2017 and 2020, to repair and stain our back garden fence, resurface the gold fine decomposed granite paths, install a new mail box, replace a garden gate and build a wood shelter for our recology bins. Nato and his team do beautiful work!”

“San Jose Tree Service is amazing! They were punctual and professional. Noe was easy to work with - he had great ideas but also accommodated our ideas. Our project was unique - it was 2 adjoining neighbors' yards with a bocce court in the middle. They executed our plan perfectly! We love the results and we loved working with Noe, Jose, Robert and the whole team!”

“Jim is incredible hard-working, diligent, knowledgeable, flexible and conscientious. He loves his work and it shows. “We hired Hortus to completely redo our backyard, from demolition, to adding new sprinklers, landscape, lights, deck, arbor, retaining walls etc. From the beginning Vijaya has been very professional, knowledgable and easy to work with. She visited the worksite several times a week, always kept me inform of the process, and answered any questions that I might have. She also showed me many samples for which I could choose the stones, light fixtures etc. Additionally, she stayed on budget. More importantly, when part of our new decked was discolored due to work on our railing, she re-sanded and re-stained the deck (even though she had sanded and stained the deck prior to the railing work) without any questions or hassles.”

“I’d like to commend Joel Tapia of Bloom and Lawn Landscaping and his crew for doing such a terrific landscaping job at our home. Joel is very nice to work with and is very professional. He takes the time to review your needs and offers suggestions. Our new sod lawn and plants make our home look beautiful and brand new. It’s like a model house! Joel took the time to go with us to select the plants to go along with the new lawn. His prices are reasonable and his workers great. We had 1,000 square feet of lawn plus a tree and plants added. The job was done in just two days. We decided to retain them for our biweekly maintenance too. Thank you, Bloom and Lawn, for a job well done! You guys are great! Steve & Liz.”
