“We had a excellent relationship working with Doug and his crew. Fernhill had built a large retaining wall for our yard last year. We were more than pleased with the quality and detail in the work. We then decided to hire Fernhill for a complete redo of both our front and back yards. The project included a small retaining wall in the front, a large flagstone patio and fire pit in the back yard, planting and lighting. Doug's attention to our project and his crew's professionalism were constant from start to finish. They were timely and finished the job within the given time frame. They left each day only after cleaning up and leaving the areas they were working on neat, clean and tidy. We gave Doug the freedom to create a design that would make our yards look great and couldn’t be more pleased with his excellent and unique design. We appreciated his eye for detail and the personal touches throughout the project. We would highly recommend hiring this company.”

“We have had C.E. Pontz Sons design and build a patio with a summer kitchen, a second patio with a fireplace and sitting area, and a beautiful water feature that appears to be a totally natural stream flowing out of our hillside. They also designed and installed up lighting for several of our trees and house. Our several year association with them has proved to a very positive experience. We are proud to recommend C. E. Pontz Sons to our friends and others interested in a very professional and talented company.”

“Hosler's Homescapes did an excellent job helping us build our dream backyard. Dennis and his crew put a lot of time and dedication into our 2000' sqft patio. The stone work and hardscape on the outdoor kitchen, fire pit and retaining walls are of great craftsmanship. All of the work was completed in a timely manner. “What a wonderful experience to have this company redo my back yard. From the design to the implementation, Earth, Turf & Wood was professional all the way. The existing flagstone patio was redesigned and redone. It had been installed incorrectly and after just 3 years was dangerous because of stones becoming unstable. It also was incorrectly laid and flooded every time it rained. Now it is a charming and safe place to relax. The landscaping is just awesome. My fence was pushed back and plants and trees were chosen of varying heights, flowering times, and colors. The finished yard looks exactly as the 'blueprint' does. The people who worked on my yard were all passionate about what they do, respectful of the house, mindful that their worksite was actually someone's home. They never left for the day without securing the yard so my dogs were safe, cleaning off any dust or dirt from surfaces, and putting their tools and equipment off to the sides. They worked constantly from early morning to late afternoon, stopping only for a brief lunch. No frequent smoke breaks, loud music, phone breaks, etc. Quite different from other people who have worked in my yard. Very nice guys, too, and inspirational as far as work ethics.”

He has done two projects for me at two different residences. In both cases, he exceeded expectation for both design and project management. He created a master plan and broke it down into affordable pieces. I look forward to the day when I call to start the next phase.”

“Artistry, expertise, and attention to detail are the first words that come to mind. Tim and Garrett created a design that resulted in a spectacular outdoor living space, which far exceeded our expectations and has become an extension of our home. They were very thoughtful, taking into consideration our style and requests. Their extensive knowledge of stonework, plants and especially native plants, as well as our wishes for color, texture, and natural setting created a living space that looks like it has always been there. The whole crew, Tim, Garrett, Mike, and Luke are true artisans as their work was creative, yet meticulous. They took their time, making sure every stone was laid exactly right to achieve the final look they wanted. The plants were also placed with purpose. They were very professional and respectful of our property and were wonderful to have working at our home. Even with rainy days, the project was completed within the expected timeline and came slightly under budget. They communicated throughout the process concerning ideas and cost. I highly recommend them, as it is a privilege to have the result of their artistry!”
