“We worked with Garden Gate on two major yard renovation projects, in summer 2008 and fall 2010. From concept to completion, the entire team and experience, led by designer Cathy Carr, was first rate. I would describe us as "involved" clients and our input and feedback was welcomed throughout--including thoughtful understanding of parts of the project we wished to plant ourselves. The 2010 project involved many moving parts, including removal of existing concrete/asphalt driveway, stormwater flooding mitigation, installation of flagstone patio, water feature, stone steps and driveway pavers, as well as plant installation. When the following spring thaw revealed water seepage issues, they returned without hesitation to reroute drainage and solve the problem. The projects have transformed our outdoor living space and bring us great joy as we spend lots of time outside with family and friends.”

“We contracted with The Landscape Design Center to provide a consultation and subsequent installation of a full landscape lighting update. Although we already had landscape lighting in place for a number of years, as the trees and shrubs have grown we were feeling like the existing lighting did not accentuate the natural beauty of the property nor did it provide adequate path lighting on parts of the property. Our first step was to meet with a Landscape Designer from the Landscape Design Center. She was very knowledgeable with great and creative ideas..... Exactly what we needed. She not only designed the project but also managed the project from start to finish. She also coordinated with our electrician to ensure proper coordination with out Lutron System. In all aspects, she was outstanding! The installation itself was also outstanding. This was a complete makeover. So we expected the lawn and planting beds may be pretty torn up when the project was complete. We were surprised when that was not the case at all. All of the installation was done in a professional and clean manner. You can barely tell that we had any work done at all. The end result is amazing. The new lighting brings out all the best in the property. We can't wait until warmer weather when we spend more time outdoors and really get to enjoy it even more.”

“If you have water issues on your property; have little or no experience on how to stop your property from becoming a swimming pool; and, are looking for the best solution, and a company that complete the job just like they said they would, you need to contact this company. My backyard has more definition and useful space. I would give all my landscaping projects to Zabrene Scapes.”

“Jeff has done two jobs for me and they have been excellent! On the first one - backyard patio with a boulder/rock wall - he adapted without pause when I wanted a change to one of the elements. The front yard was done with an entire tractor-trailer of PA stone and turned out to be amazing. Priced reasonably with other estimates I got for the same work.”

“Working w Jesse at Tillerman Gardens was a great experience. He listened carefully to what we wanted. And rather than start thinking about the ways it wouldn't work, like earlier landscapers we worked with, his mind immediately went to how he could make it work, and how he could do it at a reasonable cost. He and his crew were just a joy to work with. They have a real passion for their work and they are so good at it. In addition to an amazing patio, they did a great job with a tricky concrete project, and moved four giant boulders down a narrow half-driveway into place in our backyard -- no easy task. Jesse was constantly in touch about design and implementation details (though my sense is he would be fine making decisions if that is what the client wanted). It was clear throughout the job that Jesse was laser-focused on getting us the patio we wanted. He was constantly making changes and adding bits and pieces we wanted, most of which didn't show up on the final invoice. A few weeks after they finished, the big spring storms starting hitting. I emailed him with some small issues regarding the drainage pattern, and he emailed right back and offered to help if necessary. I feel so fortunate we ended up working with Jesse. Can't recommend Tillerman Gardens highly enough.”

“Continental Landscaping has provided all my annual landscaping maintenance such as mulching, trimming, etc over the past 10+ years. In addition, they have designed and installed all of my special projects which have included a back patio, numerous flower beds, several walkways and a terraced gravel sidewalk. In all instances, all employees of Continental have been extremely competent and skilled. They all have been very courteous and helpful in the design and execution of all of my special projects. They have been thoughtful in the scheduling of all work and prompt in meeting all schedule commitments. I would highly recommend Continental Landscaping for all of your landscaping special outdoor projects.”
