“I commissioned SLLD to provide a lighting scheme for my Grade A listed apartment in the Old Town in Edinburgh. The particular design challenge was to highlight a long, quite dark hall with a barrel vaulted ceiling. The SLLD solution exceeded my expectations with discreet floor lighting complimented by clever illumination that highlighted the Victorian ceiling features. Overall the apartment has been transformed with the lighting scheme. SLLD provided a highly professional service including a large dash of creativity.”

“I employed JayDee electrical for the installation of cabling for a hot-tub and James was excellent. The work involved coming off the main suppy at the front of the house and going round the side, up and over a garage and into the required tub. His attention to detail in hiding the cable surprised me, it was really exceptional. James is polite, on time and finished the job with a feeling of pride.....1st class and highly recommended”

“Claire joined our project at a fairly late stage when we realised we needed help with our lighting design. She wasn't phased by the pressure of tight deadlines and was very good at working with our builder and architect. She came up with great designs for different areas of our house and thought of lots of touches we hadn't even considered, which have made a real difference. She took care of all the technical specifications and her knowledge and attention to detail were great. She was a real asset to our building project and we are really pleased with all her work.”

“I think I'm having a pick-myself-off-the-floor-moment actually ! Our new Landing chandelier and Hall spirit ball look absolutely stunning ! The 'photos just do not do your beautiful artwork justice - and I can quite understand why Karen likes to show a video, as the light from within the fitting seems to block out the balls colour but in reality of course the colour refracts everywhere to show off the ceiling height and totally light up - and in fact transform, a rather dark corner whilst giving intriguing depth to the hall and beyond up the stairs. Going to bed will never be the same again ! The installation went according to plan and it was lovely to meet Karen and hear how she came about the idea to make these wonderful glass balls and in fact where our actual balls were blown.”
