A bit about us: We are From The Air, an aerial photography and video production company based in Grayshott utilising the latest drone technology together with ground based filming and full editing facilities, taking stunning high-resolution photos and videos. We often use the drone as if it were a ground based camera complementing our traditional ground based phot/video equipment. Smooth tracking shots at head height without the need for tracks and a dolly, low slightly rising shots can be taken without the need and expense of a crane. We are fully qualified and insured, have our license, Permission For Commercial Operation, from the CAA, and take safety extremely seriously. Of course, being safe and legal is paramount, with each job starting with a pre-site survey, a risk assessment and careful planning looking at the aviation maps and checking NOTAMS, all legal requirements. Why use us...? We pride ourselves on doing everything in our power in help showcase our client’s projects at their absolute best, from the actual taking of the photographs and videos all the way through to the editing. From the right time of day for the sun, and thus light, to be at the optimum angle, the optimum general weather conditions, to making sure that the property is looking perfect, for example on a property shoot all windows closed, no cars nor garden tools left lying around etc. We are prepared to go back as many times as is necessary to ensure all factors are optimal, even if that means getting up at 4am to catch a sunrise. Each photograph is then individually edited with many local adjustments carried out, not just a few tweaks to general settings. Like I said, we insist that the photographs showcase the property at its absolute best.

I have been involved in the home improvement business for over 35 years - mainly as an installer of luxury kitchens and bathrooms for Hobsons Choice and Stewart Carr Design (bulthaup Winchester). I have always been interested in photography and this has grown over recent years with a slant towards architectural and interiors work. This has enabled me to assist Stewart Carr Design and latterly Hobsons Choice in the provision of pictures for their portfolios and websites. Although I still intend to continue with remedial and after sales snagging on kitchens and bathrooms and general home improvements, I wish to steer my activities further towards the provision of photographic services to the home improvement, real estate and architectural businesses.
xtrashot Ltd is a consultancy run by Adrian Brophy, a PR specialist and copywriter with fifteen years experience working in trade and technology PR. Adrian works directly on projects both independently and in partnership with other other consultants drawn from a network of trusted freelancers. He also delivers external support to several international PR agencies, either to provide a UK presence, or to deliver additional expertise to support their team as needed. The company takes a multidisciplinary approach to communications and also offers photographic services, both as a complement to PR and as a standalone service. That accounts for part of the company name, but it is also a reference to a high energy, upbeat approach that’s greatly facilitated by caffeine. Photography The xtrashot approach to photography is directly influenced by an understanding of PR and the media. Having been a client means knowing what will work best on a company website or brochure and working in PR demands an understanding of the look and quality demanded by editors. Even if you’re interested in photography as a standalone service, you’ll benefit from these same exacting standards and a real commitment to make your people and your stories look their best.
