“Stairkraft provided the design and installation of stairs for our new build. The stairs were a cantilever design with oak stairs and glass balustrade and Stairkraft liased with our timber frame supplier to ensure that the structure met the requirements. In all our dealings with Stairkraft, the staff were always helpful, informative and friendly. The installation team were excellent and you could tell that they took pride in their work. The stairs are in our lounge and are admired by all visitors.”

“We live in a self build in the Limousin France. We bought our stairs from Stair World as it worked out much cheaper than buying locally for seasoned oak even including transport. I wanted sharp light oak stairs that would look sculptural against white walls in the smallish chimney stair well. I found the online stair design facility very useful and with a lot of measuring and remeasuring finally came up with a design. I explained the kind of 'look' i was hoping for and Stair World suggested oak match boarding to go under both flights of stairs which we ordered as well. We had the two flights built in american kiln dried white oak at Stair World and then flat packed for us to collect. The boys in the factory were a little surprised at the small van we arrived in but helped get all the components loaded and they arrived safely in France. Our carpenter then erected them for us. I am absolutely delighted with the result, the 'look' is better than i hoped for in a fairly small space. The staff at Stair World were very helpful all through the process and I would thoroughly recommend them.”

“Charles Crowson has an eye for design and detail. He helped us construct a "statement" staircase which is an amazing centre-piece to the house. He has opened up a niche market for Corian handrails to stairways. We did much research to find the most practical and attractive material. Corian is completely adaptable (even reversible!) and we chose a finish that can best be described as 'faux' marble. We had explored a solution with wood but with a one-off spiral staircase, it was no contest to use a solution made on site by Charles Crowson Handrails Of Distinction. he worked well with the other trades and was both to time and within budget. I have no hesitation in recommending www.handrailsofdistinction.co.uk”
