What a service. Michael Bessell who runs the business is a treasure. We had a very tired 1930s bottle green velvet 2-seater sofa and 2 matching armchairs. No-one would touch them. we have had these seats for more than 15 years, hoping that, one day, someone would agree to restore them to their glory. Michael waited patiently for about 6 months whilst we whittled down fabrics to a shortlist of two grey velvets (one blue-ish and one brown-ish). His choice of fabrics is really top notch and his knowledge of dyeing and fabrication technique, helped us find something in keeping with the style of the seats. It was also fun visiting his store where he had work for well known artists and celebrities, as well as mere mortals, such as ourselves. Having arrived at a shortlist, we then lived with two large scale samples ( organised by Michael) for a few weeks before selecting the blue-ish fabric. The recovering and renovation process took exactly 3 weeks as promised and the seats are better than any modern sofa and chairs, being properly sprung and hand finished, the latter not a straightforward process, given their fluted backs. The collection and delivery service was exemplary and hassle free. We are thrilled with the results and they look really good in our newly-renovated flat. A number of friends and family have said they thought we were crazy to try to rescue them. Now, they can see their true beauty and agree we would have been crazy not to save them. Thanks, Michael! From first meeting to completed project both Linda and Michael were extremely helpful and professional. The work itself was done to a beautiful standard and I wouldn't hesitate to work with them again or to recommend them to others.

Michael and Linda were great to work with, 10 out of 10. The seat squabs for my boat project were made to the highest standards, delivered quickly and without fuss. I've worked with many upholsterers over 25 years and these guys know their stuff.

I've had 5 or 6 pieces upholstered at 7 Upholstery. I've also bought pieces that they have upholstered for dealers in the area. Their knowledge of materials and technique is excellent, their attention to detail is flawless and most importantly they have a great sense of design and style. My home and office space is filled with their work. Michael and his team are friendly and helpful. They offer a nice balance of advice and opinion. Its very rewarding to rework a sofa or chair but it can be a fairly costly process. Therefore its essential to do it with the right people. I think their work speaks for itself.

7 Upholstery have rebuilt and recovered a number of chairs and sofas for me over the last few years. The quality of the work is excellent and they charge reasonably. Having seen their work, a couple of my neighbours use them now. I highly recommend them.

Excellent work. For best results book ahead and take the time to work out with them which fabrics and details are needed.
