Comments (19)To be fair, that's a pretty impressive render (wish I could do it that well..;) ) and great for seeing how the room will look space wise etc. You've had a few great suggestions already above but a couple of things I would point out: Incorporate a shelf or other handy storage item next to the bath so that you have somewhere to put bottles etc within arms reach. Perhaps an interesting freestanding piece to add some character? I would also suggest a tiled area around the bath - even if it was just up to window cill level it would help keep the room looking smart. Splashes on paint or wallpaper just mark so easily. It's looking good so far, just a couple of tweaks with the colours you prefer and it will be great....See MoreAdvice getting bathroom and shower into small room
Comments (11)Hi everybody, thanks for all your suggestions. Both Lauren's and Whizywig's look really interesting. I don't think the door move would work in this case though - see below for the space around the room. I really liked the idea of a sort of 'wet room' shower by the bathroom and had suggested that myself to somebody in a bathroom showroom. But I was advised that wet rooms can actually be a pain, because water does spray about the bathroom and in a confined space, that turns our to be really annoying (apparently). I was told I would need to be constantly wiping things down? I wasn't utterly convinced but not sure why - it could very well be correct! I'd also considered a very low bath with a shower over it (makes it easier to use as shower on a routine basis). I liked that idea as the main purpose of having both was to make both very usable - as opposed to shower over bath and that being a bit annoying for daily use as a shower. However, I haven't seen a low bath in usage, so not sure what they are really like!...See MoreOne door or two - Ensuite vs Bathroom
Comments (5)If you re jig the internal walls a little - you can centralise the bed to the windows and have a slightly larger En-Suite - with easy access from office and bedroom, as those are the main areas you need to access it from. Then the walk in wardrobe area (with access to void beyond) can still be a decent size, without compromising the symmetry of the bed position. I haven’t put in the sloped ceiling - so mirror over sink might not be quite as shown and towel storage may not be quite as tall - but this gives you the idea perhaps?...See MoreBathroom layout - want a bath and shower thoughts
Comments (10)Thanks everyone. I have decided to go for the layout suggested by John as I cannot move the toilet to the other side of the room. However I am going to keep the window in place as they are being replaced by UPVC and I think there is enough room to not have the shower too close to the window. Ive taped it it all out and walked through and it seems like it will work especially if I find a slimline cistern. Thanks everyone!!...See More- last year
