Eames lounge chair

Contemporary Living Room

The Charles Eames Style Classic Lounge Chair & Ottoman is a high quality reproduction in the style of the original design. The original Lounge Chair and ottoman, correctly titled Eames Lounge (671) and Ottoman (672) were released in 1956 after years of development by designers Charles and Ray Eames. They are now part of the permanent collection of New York's Museum of Modern Art. The chair first appeared on the Arlene Francis 'Home" show broadcast on the NBC television network in the USA in 1956. Since then it has made many appearances on television and film, more recently in the popular sitcom Frasier along with a Coco Chanel couch and his fathers La-Z-Boy. This beautiful classic is exceptionally comfortable, and is recognized as one of Charles Eames most important designs. As per the original it is permanently reclined at 15 degree so body weight is distributed to the back of the chair, therefore maximising comfort.
