Unused fireplace in Kids bedroom - Ideas pls
Comments (25)Not sure what it's actually like inside, but I had an ugly fireplace to deal with in one of my houses in England, and since removing it wasn't in the budget at the time, I found a piece of artwork I liked that fit into the opening framed and stuck that in it, then put a plant on the hearth just in front and to one side of the artwork to give it a little bit of life/color/dimension. I do like the whiteboard idea, but you can also do colored chalkboard paint, if you want to add something other than black. Maybe pick out a color from the tiles and fit the new board a little better so it's nicely framed by the existing tile surround? (You do need to keep it a fairly dark color so the chalk shows, but it looks like there's a nice dark blue/green you could use based on the tiles? My laptop's color display is in 'night' mode so I can't tell exactly what shade the tiles are atm. They look sort of teal-ish to me. :) )...See MoreOne of My Favourite Bedroom Decors
Comments (0)In more than 25 years of my building career I have built many houses for many families and completed many bedrooms. There are some of them in London that I like. This one I made for a just-married couple. The idea of making a dedication in building a new life for the young couple inspired me and therefore I chose the bright colours and looked for the way that let the sunshine light the whole room. Because the couple were young, I chose the modern design but still tried to keep it look warm. Now I would love to share my story for the people here, hoping that it can help some people to have some ideas in building their new nests. Building is not only a work, it is also an art of feeling the customers' feelings and desires in their home....See MoreDecorating Children's Bedroom
Comments (6)Hi, Did you know using a site like coolors.co you can generate a colour palette from the wallpaper you have chosen. I found the image that you shared above and created this. The numbers are colour HEX references. As you are using white and grey in most of the furniture and carpet I would use a go for a stronger pink on the remaining walls. If you opt for a very light pink it may look wishy washy but it does also depend on the bedding, accessories and lighting you opt for in the room. If you pump these full of colour then a lighter wall colour will just fade away. Pick out the gold in the wallpaper for some fun accessories.
