Where did the shed come from?

I am guessing it was custom built but we need something very similar for our smalll-ish city garden in a house we have just bought.

Hi, yes the shed was a bespoke design and built by the hard landscapers. You can enquire with local joiners to build something bespoke.

What a beautiful space, rich and uncluttered. I like the grouping of the foliage and would like to know what the three trees in the white pots are.

Could you also tell me what is growing on your shed - which I would love to copy!

Yes to the painting, but you can be very creative, as your panels for both the sides and the door run horizontal, paint two colours, one on every other panel - bit of a faff, but a fantastic effect - and be bold - it is only a shed, and it is only paint. Not sure about the flowers as they need constant maintenance but a couple of tall pots with tall shrubs (you have one but the plant is too small). Also make the patio in front a feature by placing rust proof table and chairs. Also block off the side of the shed which has become a bit of an eye sore.

Thanks everyone for your comments so far! We are on a tight budget so, as I would like Quartz work tops, I need to compromise on the cabinets. Thanks One Plan for your thoughts despite such an early start to your working day! I have had plans drawn up with Wickes, B & Q and Howdens. Wickes were, as I'd thought, ridiculously expensive for what you get plus hopeless on design - just drew what he thought & didn't really ask me what our kitchen use was like. Wasn't overly impressed with Howdens either- took 2 weeks to draw the design and it wasn't that great although I've heard their units are good. Surprisingly, B & Q were most helpful & seemed to have a bit of an idea about design but I've been told their carcasses are poor. Yes, you get what you pay for, so I'm not expecting top quality but I also don't want something rubbish. Due to our location, the only other choice we have is Magnet but they don't have a colour I like in the door style I like. We have heard good things about IKEA kitchens but our nearest is about 3 hours away & they also don't really do the door style in the colour I'd like.

Since it is a long garden why not put the shed part way up rather than at the far end. I liked this image from the following website http://www.gardenlifelogcabins.co.uk/blog/creative-ideas-long-narrow-garden-design/ They suggest splitting the garden into rooms and I liked their layout. It occurred to me that since you have a big garden you might have more than one patio to follow the sun. You could put different angles into the garden with paths or lawns and line the shed up with them. You might even upgrade your shed to something bigger such as a Summerhouse or log cabin that includes the storage you would have had in the shed.
