Comments (5)I can't wait to see the after on this project! Here are a few ideas I had: You can have the chimney breast come straight up from the mantle as a section that comes out into the room in one solid piece. I like how this room has built-ins tucked in on the sides and I thought the exposed beams and slanted roof was a similar feel to show you how it could look in your space. Again, I like the built ins in this space and the way the oversized mirror above the mantle reflects the outdoors as you described the windows on the right as well. Another idea is to select a unique material for the chimney breast and mantle and have it go all the way up the wall like this one....See MoreNeed help with fireplace please!

Our lounge was originally just a square box, so adding this feature has transformed it!...See MoreLiving room help
Comments (0)HELP! We have the ugliest fireplace! Unfortunately we do not have a fireplace so our options are limited and we currently have a gas version of a wood burning stove... and a weird floating shelf. Any ideas how to improve it on a tight budget??...See MoreHelp with lounge layout after blocking in double doors

You might prefer the view into the garden or you might prefer to have furniture facing each other to be sociable. Personally I would buy a long low unit for the wall where the doors used to be and have a nice TV. I would put a sofa opposite and the chairs or smaller sofa at each end...See MoreTanya
