Comments (7)Certainly agree about loosing the curtains. Either silver venetian blinds, vertical blinds, or plantation shutters would make that area cleaner and tidier. (If you are not overlooked, how about leaving any window coverings at all). As for the feature wall -not sure about the white brick effect, as I feel that there would be too much of the same colour, and it would not stand out as a feature wall. There are many softer shades on the market now, and depending on the remainder of your room, choose a soft shade, either duck egg blue, or soft plum, and use this colour to accessorise in cushions, or a picture in same colour, but something else to bring the items together. With the emulsion, I would use a soft sheen rather than matt, as the soft sheen is easier to clean (I notice you have children), and reflects the light back into the room. Hope some of this helps....See MoreNeed help with living room

Easy to apply with no messy wallpaper paste and creates a great background to your artwork. Have a look a the blog for the full details. Comments (10)Hi. You don't have any ideabooks set up so not sure what styles and colours you like etc. I agree with carolina's suggestions. Based on your lights (assuming you installed them!) I'd go for something like this. If you have the budget I'd cover the chimney breast in split face tiles (not too dark) and have a floating wooden unit beneath to add warmth. I love this sofa and footstool from made in the petrol blue (not sure of dimensions as website keeps crashing on me). I'd add a tallish but slim cabinet under the stairs with a sheepskin pouffe to the left of it. Floor lamp next to the sofa, art over it, and if you have the room a small round side table next to the chair....See MoreNeed help with living room lighting arrangement
Comments (1)Hi N K hope the move is going well and you are enjoying the new home. what you can do to combat this issue of off-centering is use a simple hook and grip to loop the cable over from the outlet so that you get a centre hang. Please see image below. There isnt an exact science to hanging heights as everyone is different, but you should try offering it up and seeing what works best for you so that you do not have to keep changing it for watching the tv. hope this helps...See MoreDaniela Zambrano
