Hi I had the same dilemma with the dining part of my kitchen. I love the brick wall effect so decided to try a wallpaper as it's only a small wall. I'm really pleased with the results. It cost me just £9 for one roll from B & Q. You can only tell it's wallpaper by getting up close and touching it - before and after photos attached.

Hello Anastasia, I hope you are well. I love the Cole and Son hicks hexagon too and it does look absolutely stunning on the wall. The quality is great too. Both designs will create a WOW and look fabulous and the hall is the place to do it. Hello there, congratulations on your new house! Personally I love old houses and think you are a lucky owner of a beautiful place with so much character. I absolutely agree with comments above. Replastering is the best solution and the right investment. Include it into your budget and you will never regret (even in 20 years). Wallpaper won't last that long and then will limit you in what you can do with it. And even then it will not look as great as finish on nicely plastered wall. I have suggestion for your landing and hallway with stairs, French wash paint will look very nice and cozy. For example (there are more colours to choose from) Good luck with project!
