To Wallpaper or not to wallpaper?
Comments (16)A belated THANK YOU to everyone who commented. This is the final result. We're super happy with it. Room A north facing "through-lounge" in a new build, 3 bed semi detached house Paint Walls: Purbeck Stone, Farrow & Ball Ceiling: Strong White, Farrow & Ball By the way, the room isn't as long and skinny as it looks in the photos. Painting it all one colour actually made it feel much, much larger. We were really impressed with the quality of advice the F&B staff gave us in regards to colour. We loved Purbeck Stone from the minute we saw it, and being brave really paid off....See MoreDecorator refused to wallpaper our room - please help
Comments (92)I love Josette wallpaper. I used it on my chimney breast in my old bedroom. Loved it so much, another shade went up under the dado up the stairs and in the hall in my house too. We then moved and we have it now in our new bedroom in yet another shade! I put the paper up in my old bedroom. It’s tricky but not the worst paper I have ever hung....See MoreHow bold do you go with wallpaper?
Comments (6)I like both bold and simple depending on the room it is going in! :) For example in my hall I have a dove grey print from Laura Ashley which is a nice calming print to welcome you into my house but in our lounge I chose a darker bold coloured print to give it that hotel feeling - it really depends on the furniture and other textures you're putting it with. All a matter of opinion and how prints make you feel at home in your home! :)...See MoreWhat wallpaper for my dining room?
Comments (20)Hi Gerty, I would definitely recommend a neutral textured wallpaper if you didn't want to just paint the walls either side. Harlequin do some really nice ones that would work against the busy fireplace. Or you could use on another wall and paint either side of the fireplace, hard to say for sure without seeing the whole room. This has a slight plaster affect which slightly emulates the pattern in the fireplace... This one is a metallic texture which could look really nice... This shows how the textured wallpaper will look but I would stick to a neutral colour......See More- 5 years ago
