Kitchen reworking to install a dishwasher-advice needed
Comments (6)Actually it shouldn't be too hard. Someone who knows what the are doing will pull out the existing double unit and replace it with a new smaller carcass and put one of the old doors on it. You need to get them out first as they can advise you if they will be able to fit your second cupboard door onto the dishwasher so it is integrated. It probably won't be the right door for integration in which case you could either find out who made the kitchen and if a suitable alternative can still be bought. Alternatively you get a free standing DW. Look for a handyman or a joiner- particularly one who has fitted kitchens....See Moreusing LVT on a sink unit??
Comments (20)Another suggestion for you......adhesive vinyl roll! Specifically, that made by DC Fix. We used a textured metallic finish inside a kitchen cabinet as part of it’s transformation into a bar cabinet. I found it easy to use and very forgiving for repositioning etc. We bought ours from vinyl warehouse but lots of places sell it. If you check out the DC Fix website they have it on bathroom sinks, kitchen cabinets, worktops etc. I’m not sure if they have different levels of quality but I’m sure you could check easily. I just scrubbed an off-cut of ours with the rough side of a bathroom sponge and it didn’t scuff it. Might be worth buying a small piece to play around with and see what you think. https://www.vinylwarehouse.co.uk/woodgrains-85-c.asp...See MoreUnder Sink Bathroom Units
Comments (0)I'm looking for a storage unit to fit under the bathroom sink. It's a semi-pedestal basin hung from the wall. All the undesink cabinets I can find have a semicircle cut out on each shelf, suitable for a full pedestal sink. I'm looking for something that has a cut out for the top shelf only, and a full shelf on the bottom to maximise storage space (I'm not even sure if this sort of furniture is something that exists!). I'm just posting here on the off chance that anyone has come across something like this?! Thank you so much....See MoreSmall kitchen renovation
Comments (3)It might not be feasible to reuse all the doors but a mix and match of styles could work in different zones. I'd go for sink and cooker along wall C (if there is enough space not to cause a safety issue), extractor hood and draining type plate shelves above. Island coming out from wall D just after the window, 1200 wide, 900 deep, with washer and storage on window side and high stools facing wall C ( looking out window too). Wall A looks to be suitable for tall fridge freezer with tall 300mm pantry either side. Wall B could have narrow shelves for crockery, plants, books etc. Good luck with it....See Morewinterfloods
