How did you get the aged look on the bricks please?

The bricks dont look raw bricks, they have a worn look with that white touch. Can you please advise how to get that look?

It gets pretty darn cold up here, in N Yorkshire and when the fire is lit, it really does warm up the room (whilst the rest of the house is like a bloomin' ice box!) Hello again Bespoke Decorative Finishes, thank you too for your kind words. Ah, the gold mirror is from ebay - thank you again. Yours is beautifully done and so clever and sophisticated; mine is a bit 'rustic' but I think ok for the room, in probably a very basic way, which has limestone flags. When I first came to the house 8 years ago, the previous owner had built the fireplace out in the same stone as the back of it to 1.5 metres on both sides of the fire, projecting forwards into the room. I thought it was pretty hideous because it was was way too big and dominating and it also seemed to absorb the light as it is not a well lit room. So I borrowed a jack hammer and over the weeks, in the evenings, I took the stone walls down which stretched about 70cm each side too. It was a bit task and I took out a lot of stone. Then I found the two RSJs. I think I said on another post, I couldn't understand why there were two, one on top of the other, so I took one out. BIG mistake. The room above is my bedroom and I noticed when I went to bed, the floor had dropped by 4". Ooops!

It's hard to tell if it's the light in the photo but does the colour on the garage doors match the colour of the window trim and soffit of the house? The trim colour on the house looks like it's got a blue hue from the photo. I quite like this but you could look into changing the trim colour to a light stone to change the appearance slightly.

Both Ral 7032 and 7044 would look great. I would lean more towards a concrete grey which would be the 7044. I think it would depend on the exact colour of the red brick - if it is dark l would go light and if it is a rather pale red l would go darker. But l do agree that anthracite needs a break!

I use a program called pipette, https://www.sttmedia.com/pipette-download and you can find the colour composition of any image ie rgb, cmy etc, its also the true colour of the image and not how your screen presents it. Obviously with a photo this won't be the actual colour and also with a photo the colour changes in different parts of the photo. You could then download colour charts and use pipette to see which colour is closest to the photo results or do a search on line for the #hex colour, you can try encycolorpedia.com and that gives you a list of paints that are close to it.
