Need help for my living room.

We have moved into our new house and we are furnishing it gradually. I wanted the living room in grey and got the sofas and few furnitures. Now I wanted to add some colour into it and am unsure which would be good. I am yet to get the curtains/cushions and carpet.(have put the old carpet for now). I am also thinking of getting stools near the radiator. I am doubtful whether I should go for grey carpet and add colour through more cushions/stools and curtains or grey curtains and carpets with coloured cushions and stool? Which colour would suit? I am thinking of mustard yellow/lime or pink. I am yet to get the wall painting(depending on what colour I am adding). Suggestions please.
