Living Room: before and after
Comments (18)Ha ha, yep the before is an eye catcher ;) yep radiators are powder coated aluminium, i have now gone off the black and have actually been thinking of getting them sprayed, but not white... More like a very pale grey. Added a couple more recent shots, with a few added extras...See MoreHall, stairs and landing - before and after
Comments (9)so pleased to see these before and after photo's as I'm currently after inspiration for my own stairs and landing which are both very dark with hardly any natural light ... 25yrs ago I spent about 12mths removing layer upon layer of paint from skirtings and dado's etc from a 1930's property to get back down to the natural wood and have been exceptionally hesitant to slap another layer of paint on them all after so much hard work in the past, but having seen this now, I think its the way forward that I should be going .... so well done, the whole look you have created is wonderful...See MoreHall be 4 and after

Comments (32)@vv0123 thank you! I restored the windows back to how they would have been originally. The original transom (I think it is called) would have been stone but my dad made mine from timber and I painted it. A couple of houses on my street still have the original feature so I was able to make sure mine looked correct. The two windows were then fitted either side. The windows are plastic but I went for the half/half openers, again to make them look more like original sash windows, plus some of the windows are over 6ft high so it makes them easier to open. The windows came from a local window company in Manchester my dad occasionally fits for. Hope that answers all your questions :)...See MorePatricia Keating
