POLL: Loo roll - Over or under?
Comments (34)Don't care but what drives me mad is toilet roll holders with only one fixing - they always end up wonky. Which dimwit decided that something which is continuously fiddled with (people folding over corners and swapping it around) should have only one anchor point?...See MoreTiny toilet/ downstairs loo
Comments (14)i also meant to say there appears to be a good selection of short projection loos on the market but I had a tricky ensuite to do 18 months or so ago and found the plumber could find impossible to find things (and I search for things on the internet constantly 😂) at plumbers merchants. I think it would also make the room feel bigger if there isn’t so much contrast with the floor (and depending on whether you keep the skirting boards or not but I wouldn’t opt for white if you do as it makes the room feel smaller with the stark contrast)...See MoreCloakroom toilet - how to arrange this space!?
Comments (3)With the smallest corner loo you can find? And a shelf over the washing machine, bowl on top. It would be the tightest toilet I've ever come across (aside from a motorhome)! And how to load and unload the washing machine? I'd advise you to look for another nook for the washing machine. Minimum toilet space is 120x80cm. Our downstairs loo (original to the house) is 120x95 and husband (187cm) goes upstairs if he needs to sit down, or has to leave the door open......See MoreTiny cloakroom toilet layout help

I would also get secondary glazing to help keep out drafts, add insulation to the ceiling, hang the door so it opens outwards, and weigh up if electric UFH is cheaper to install than a radiator. Don’t forget you also need an extractor and building regs...See More- 9 years ago
