change the backsplash in the corner, leaving L shaped walls simplier

I've seen back splashes where they change completely or highlight someway (mural etc) behind the stove. I've Never seen an instance where one tile (tumbled stone) is used for most of back splash with something different (subway tile cracked glass various color) used in the corner (under special cabinet). I will also put a small 2 line glass highlight above the first row of tumbled. Have you ever seen a corner highlighted - can you envision it? look ok?
