You can have any carpet bound into an area rug. Tuftex has one called Uptown Girl that looks similar to this. Just find one you like!

Laura Ashley sells a round mirror a bit like the one in your photo which would look good. I think it may look better if you moved the clock to a different wall, otherwise it might look like you are trying to match the clock on the second chimney breast. Have other art work on the walls would help detract from wonky levels too. The room looks lovely btw!

oh dear! Can you try and achieve a modern country look? Have a look at this pic. Instead of the wallpaper go for a trellis/geometric/trefoils style one. This is from thibault but there are lots around. Change the rug in the pic for a contemporary style. Change the floral cushions for modern patterned ones perhaps a mix of geometric and a modern floral. Maybe just have one sofa but have a couple of funky occasional chairs? I do love your rug but it may be a little big unless you pull it away from the hearth a foot or so and bring your sofa in the window forward 2-3 ft to sit on the rug ( also bring in the other from the wall). Does your tv fit on the coffee table? I personally would change to a wood floor as I think they always look modern but that's me!

Hi Katie, The best thing to do here would be to start with what HAS to stay and make that your basic colour palette. Otherwise you will be bringing new colours and it feel like "too much". So in this case you have the colour of the walls, the new sofa and your beautiful Chesterfield chair. These do go well together as long as the rest of the room doesn't have dark things in (so I would agree that the black shelf is probably not right here as it makes the room feel tiny even though I don't think it is). So for your new rug and accessory I would stay within these kind of tones and additionally because the pattern on your sofa is very unique (but really nice!) I would steer off pattern anywhere else in the room, this is basically your statement piece, the one you decorate around. And then I see you have 4 matching cushions on the sofa, I would keep 2 (one in each corner) but add 2 new ones in a colour that matches that of the rug, this will tie in the whole area (with another one on the chesterfield) so it will instantly feel more like it all belongs together.
