Love the countertop at the bar! Where can I find? Is that wood?

Though I am not aware that this is a Craft Art wood countertop/bar top, you should take a look at our work if you like this! We are a national manufacturer of wood countertops and bar tops with a waterproof finish. It is an absolutely gorgeous design, @Finished Basement Company. Great work!

People never believe it's waterproof (understandable!) until they try it on a sample or see it in person. We do have samples available online, too.

Also, the bar on the left (above) is very similar to our Rustic Black Walnut in Plank Style construction. Rustic Black Walnut is simply the species Black Walnut but we intentionally use boards that have dark knots, burl wood and interesting graining.

You may like the Distressed Black Walnut, as well. Distressing can be added to any species! So if you like the Rustic Black Walnut, you can add our hand distressing to give it an aged look.

Hi there, we always specify a lacquered finish for our oak worktops as the finish is significantly more durable than an oiled wooden worktop. If for example you split some red wine, even if it was left for an amount of time, it would easily wipe clean from a lacquered surface. Whereas with the oiled surface, it would likely damage it. The same goes for grease which is the biggest culprit of stained wooden worktops - things like meat juices as you mention above, will absorb into an oiled worktop. As with any worktop, even granite, placing hot pans or ovenware directly onto the surface of the worktop will cause some level of damage, typically leaving a scorch mark. Laquered oak worktops can withstand things like cups and mugs of hot drinks where the heat is raised slightly from the surface. Lastly, we use specialist lacquer for our worktops which give a beautiful sheen, but not a shine. So often you see wooden worktops ruined with a shiny uneven lacquer. Ours are applied in layers and cut back to ensure a even, smooth finish. If you need any further advice feel free to give us a call.

Hi, In this case you would need to create open plan kitchen together with dining room. Get rid of the wall in between and create cosy, open a space area. Range cooker would be nice, but not next to the door. You are going to loose working place, plus open fire next to entrance is not an option. If you are planing to "redecorate" your kitchen only, you can simply get new doors for base units, new wall units & new extractor would be nice too. Maybe something industrial looking? Accessories, plants, new tiles would make the kitchen looking alive till the time you will decide to get a new kitchen. Where are so many shaker style doors! So many colours and finishes it's mad! So if you would like to improve your kitchen with minimal investment, get creative! Small bits and peaces will make it look like kitchen where you would like to spend your time. Which is the most important.

Quartzite can be bought at lots of places and an internet search will find someone near you. Proper quartzite is a hardened sandstone and normally doesn’t come in marble like colours. Perhaps you should be looking for a quartz such as Silestone or Caesarstone which are available everywhere and also available in lighter colours some containing veining that is very marble like. You could also look at porcelain such as the Dekton brand although this normally would be a more expensive choice.

sorry, I thought the pale colour was the counter you were looking at. so that's the cabinet door colour? hold it vertically when comparing to floor, and have the floor and countertop on the horizontal. the paler countertop is definitely a green-gray and works nicely with the paler green-undertone greige cabinets. I think colour-wise they work together - and I prefer the lighter one than the black one, especially if in a dark kitchen - you could go lighter too if you wanted to lighten it up further, but don't have to. with a countertop with such a lot of movement, I'd suggest a very simple subway tile for backsplash (I know you're not asking!) to keep it from getting overly complicated looking. if your kitchen is open to any other rooms, also just check that any undertones in there work too eg. if it was open to a dining/living area with a stone fireplace for example, or if you have a neutral coloured sofa or upholstery/fabrics.

We absolutely can. We do not bend the wood, but the shape is easily created with straight boards. This is one of our bar tops being installed in a resent project! (The species/color of wood is our Driftwood Walnut)

If you'd like to get a retail quote, I suggest quoting our "Rustic Black Walnut" species - which is Black Walnut with more character and variation intentionally left in the countertop and it's the most like the image above. We have samples, too (second link below)

Thanks for the inquiry and the comment! This specific slab was purchased through a local lumber supplier and was treated with a custom distressing, glaze and stain to give it a spectacular finish! The wood species is Knotty Alder.
