Comments (1)I think you should use white so the kitchen doesn't look choppy ,but if you still want color try this idea...See MoreHelp with glass backsplash colour
Comments (8)Hello Mandy, Have you thought about a plaster colour or something that is like the bare wall as you have it.. I actually really like it!! ... You could have plain transparent glass and painted wall a similar plaster colour underneath...... I think this brings out the warmth, it really opens up the kitchen too and works well with the brown worktop.. and it really works with the oven!! For me the green splash back gives it a cold tone.. It looks really gr8 as it is!... so another suggestion for you before you decide! I have included 2 colours that would be lovely.. both by Little Greene... Rolling fog and Rolling fog pale.. With a transparent glass splash back it would be amazing I think and also is really good with your cabinets.. (Like the style of those too)..but you might hate my suggestion of course! : ) ) Rolling fog pale...See MoreBacksplash dilema
Comments (7)I'd have a matching upstand, most worktops (i'm assuming its a laminate) now have a matching upstand available and this is usually about 100mm tall and 3m long and i'd run this all round the kitchen on the worktop. Where you hob is i'd have a glass splashback (these can be easily made to measure or bought off the shelf) if you have a gas hob you can't run the upstand behind this so the glass splashback will have to sit on the worktop but if its an electric hob then you have the option of running the upstand behind the hob and sitting the glass splashback on the upstand. Looks good IMO, seals the worktop to the wall and is clean and tidy. Alternatively, if you don't like any paint, lots of worktops also have a splashback board available, 600mm wide 3m long and you can use this to go between the worktops and wall units, again if you have a gas hob you would have to cover the laminate splashback with a glass splashback (you can get clear glass)....See MoreBacksplash advice needed!!!
Comments (3)Do you need a backsplash? What do you want from it? Colour, pattern, or just to protect the walls from splashes (the only reason I think makes sense!) I have no backsplash, my sink is against a wall but it's vinyl Matt and it wipes easily. My hob is on island so no backslash needed. If it's just for behind your hob you can use glass, so not obvious. I would suggest you wait til your kitchen units/worktop/floor is all fitted before deciding, it makes it easier!...See MoreTotal Solutions Group
