First new home, colour and style help please!
Comments (12)Hi. I agree with shelleyuk about switching the sofas - I would put the green one where the cream one is (because it has the chaise part it looks like it blocks the area too much where it currently is and would be better near the wall). If you don't want to move the radiator, I would put the TV on a sideboard on the right of the back doors and then have the cream sofa in front of the radiator. Hang a big piece of art above it. I'd also get quite a big coffee table and play with the cushions so that some that came with the green sofa are on the cream sofa so it ties it all together. I wouldn't bother with curtains unless you need it for heat because they are nice doors letting in a lot of light with a good view of the garden. I can't really tell where the foot traffic will be and what is behind the cream sofa. Is there enough room for a separate seating area? Or a console table behind the sofa?...See MoreNeed help with Scandi style furniture/colour scheme for living room
Comments (6)Hi, the space looks fantastic with those wooden stairs and rustic beams. I agree with the comment above about the sofa- would look and feel more comfy if you went for fully upholstered one. I think you could play with whites, greys, black and wood colours and chose one more to add: yellow, blue or even red/pink to fit your chair in. Whitewashed clay pots with green plants would add a lot of warmth as well: I am making oversized wooden clocks that could infuse your cottage with even more character, few examples and link to my website below: Peak Art Handmade Wall Clocks Anna...See MoreConservatory blinds help - which colour and style
